I have Phantom of the Opera and Pride: The Musical booked, which are within the next few weeks.

I’ll also buy tickets for Operation Mincemeat and Owain and Henry soon, which are later on in the year.

What about you?

I want to see Jesus Christ Superstar but the ticket prices are astounding, so I’ll give it a miss unless it moves into last minute cheapies.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 12/03/2026 20:59

I had the best time on Saturday watching 2 of the Showstoppers shows. Made up on the night as per audience suggestions, so 2 completely different musicals.

I've also got booked:
Operation Mincemeat.
Miss Saigon.

Rocky Horror.

Sweeny Todd
Cats
Little Shop of Horrors and
Heathers.

I'd love 9-5 to tour closer to home, but currently it's not due to.

Hoping to book Moulin Rouge in Liverpool.

SeriousTissues · 12/03/2026 21:00

Also forgot Rocky Horror.

OneToThree · 12/03/2026 21:05

itispersonal · 12/03/2026 21:06

beetle juice in June
Hamilton- August with probably another show
heathers locally in September

blueberryfields · 12/03/2026 21:14

This year I've seen Into the Woods which was fantastic.

I've got Legally Blonde next, then Marie and Rosetta, Dracula and Sylvia.

Managed to get tickets for Leslie's Hamilton stint today too. Will be my 4th time and I can't wait...

ThePieceHall · 13/03/2026 08:17

I’m taking my teen to see Cynthia Erivo in Dracula next month; it’s a delayed 18th birthday gift.

Yes, not able to call them sadly, have my tickets now anyway so too late even if I could. It’s good to know they are still offering them though, even if you can’t get them online as usual.

I had checked with them before they went on sale and they did say you’d be able to get them online, but I always find sites which say this never seem to show the accessible tickets even when you jump through the hoops. Very annoying for those who can’t call.

Took DS to see Stranger Things: The First Shadow last weekend.

BRILLIANT!

Thinking about taking him to see The Hunger Games show but have heard mixed reviews - Anyone seen it?

I took my 17 y o to Hunger Games and we had a great time. It's got lots of spectacle and action. As a piece of writing / acting it's not always the most sophisticated but I found it really enjoyable and we thought the venue itself was atmospheric and impressive. A lot of the performers have a dance/movement background so the stunts usually look great also. Sit in Districts 1 or 2 if you can for an added element!

It’s usually really easy with DMT. Today they were showing the free carer ticket but full price access ticket for LOjr shows whilst the rest of the time you can get both. I’m really annoyed and have emailed them to say so but I’m not expecting a reply. I understand bringing this casting mean prices hikes but it’s utterly disgraceful to remove the usual level of accessibility to enable more revenue for certain shows.

I'm taking DD (aged 4) to a 'my first ballet' performance of Cinderella by the English National Ballet in a few weeks but that's all we have planned so far. Hopefully she'll enjoy it!

Thanks, this is really helpful!

Think I'm gonna book.x.

weareallcats · 14/03/2026 22:49

I’m going to most of the upcoming RSC productions - very lucky to be local - have tix for both Kenneth Branagh productions, also going to Henry V and planning to go to Middlemarch and The Mad King (just waiting for tix to be released). In London I’m hoping to go to The Hunger Games and Cabaret. Doesn’t seem like enough - need to book more. That said, I really love last minute theatre trips - just seeing what has tickets and rocking up.

AllaMova · 26/03/2026 16:48

The Welsh National Theatre have confirmed that they will be streaming their production of Our Town (once they’ve finished editing etc.) I think Michael Sheen is in it.

Thought someone on here might be interested.

Also, I’m hoping to book Operation Mincemeat tickets next month. I hope it lives up to my expectations!

I would happily see that again, it was very good. I saw it in Mold - got tickets early on before they got super expensive!

I've seen 3 different productions of this play now, and I do really like it as a play. This Welsh version was excellent, and I really loved the staging especially.

Kevinbaconsrealwife · 26/03/2026 19:13

Going to see Miss Saigon in a couple of weeks at MK theatre, then To Kill a Mockingbird, also at MK end of May ….then Twelfth Night at Tolethorpe Hall in July and just booked tickets to see comedian Rhys James at Derngate next March….love live theatre x

The Swansea dates had sold out before I even knew of this production, so I was so glad to hear it is being streamed!

Off to see The Last Five Years at the Palladium tomorrow. Can't wait to see Rachel Zeigler on that stage again.

As a huge Evan Hansen fan, DD is so very excited about seeing Ben Platt.

Anyone else seen it?

HannahinHampshire · 28/03/2026 19:54

I saw To Kill A Mockingbird in Southampton yesterday . A very powerful production, the cast were all excellent as was the staging. Catch it on tour if you can!

I’m going to Mathew Bourne’s The Red Shoes in April. Can’t wait!

It is wonderful. I loved it.

Expectinglittlebean2026 · 28/03/2026 20:47

I'm off to see legally blonde on Tuesday :) also saw Operation Mincemeat a few months ago and have Mrs Doubtfire booked.
I also love the amateur ones round my area - I live in a very talented area where all the amateur ones are amazing (and I am very lucky to have been in the chorus of a few before having children!)

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 28/03/2026 21:04

We’re going on a bear hunt in Wimbledon theatre

Dobbyismyabsolutefav · 28/03/2026 21:34

Just seen Paddington which was fantastic. I've booked Sherlock at the Regents Park theatre and Jesus Christ Superstar in the Summer. I've also booked Billy Elliott, a favourite, and Miss Saigon for 2027!

When I'm organised I will probably go back and see Operation Mincemeat and Hamilton in the next few months.

AnythingGoesAllThroughTheNight · 28/03/2026 21:52

I have 42 shows booked this year and still booking. In April I am seeing: The Secret Garden, Starlight Express, Come from Away, 2:22 a Ghost Story, Hello Dolly, The Bodyguard and The Red Shoes.

In June I'm doing a 6 day trip to London and have booked: Beetlejuice, High Society, The Devil Wears Prada, Paddington, Les Mis (Royal Albert Hall), The Play that Goes Wrong, Showstopper, The Mousetrap, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Phantom of the Opera.

In October I'm doing a 5 day trip to London and have booked: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Sinatra the Musical, Wicked, Come Alive, Witness to the Prosecution, The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies in Concert and Hadestown. I'm waiting to see what else will be showing as I have 2 matinees and an evening show to fill, I'm hoping Titanique will extend and I can see it.
