"on MN of all places" - the issue for us all including parents is that our world is threatening to cave in because of what is happening in the ME.

This is to do with all humanity and the future of all our children.

I think that if you are going to post as a group and organise and try to influence things as a group, you have an obligation to question and look into things, to be certain sure and to be able to discuss things without insulting people.

And you have an obligation to not try to discredit other people into silence when they question things.

You keep asking for proof, yet its been provided. Women and men were raped on October 7th. Simple as that. If you read the Dinah report and other investigations women were raped and killed, genital mutilation, shot through the genital area after, women without bottom clothing dead on the floor, broken pelvis areas, tied to poles, shall I go on!

Yes on MN 'of all places' because this is predominantly a site for mothers, women. Denying rape is a very poor look.

Rape is never, ever, resistance. Rape is always wrong.

Anyone who wonders if there were rapes during the October 7th pogrom should read the 7 October Parliamentary Commission Report. You can download it from the link below.

Have a read @magnetic clocks.

I think you should think before you insult people. Read what I wrote again. The other poster said people celebrated rapes. How could people celebrate things which they say did not happen?

I didn't say anything to do with believing anyone. Or taking sides.
Unlike you I don't go round insulting people either, as a general rule. Your post is unacceptable.

Actually your post is not acceptable 'How could people celebrate things which they say did not happen?"

Well rapes did happen. Just because 'some people ' say they didn't happen, doesn't make it true.

Just to clarify that there is no "pot, kettle, black" situation going on.

There is no "group" situation going on.

We are all just individuals posting our views on an online forum.

Ihatetomatoes · 11/03/2026 13:09

magneticclocks · 11/03/2026 12:45

You are gaslighting because I have not tried to discredit anyone, and no one else from your group has questioned anything in any event.

I am also not posting as part of a huge group.

I'm posting as an individual.

No idea what 'group' you are talking about, unless, it's a random group of individuals appalled at rape denial.

Good speech from Camilla about solidarity and support for women who are victims of sexual violence. She was very direct 💐.

An excellent speech and very appropriate for the topic on this thread.

Thank you. Found it.

"When we live in a culture of silence, we empower violence against women and girls," she said. Her speech also called for more positive influences on young men, including in social media. "It is in the online space where boys and young men absorb many of the values they will carry through until adulthood."

You are misunderstanding and I don't mind explaining again.

If they said there were no rapes, how could they be celebrating rapes?

It is your error and happyface's error here. I think you should both think before you post.

You are saying you are a random group, you have never posted alongside the same people on MN? Or you are frequently posting alongside the same people on MN on multiple threads and agreeing with everything they say?

Gosh, what are you not getting?! Hamas, a proscribed terrorist group, have said there were no rapes. This doesn't make it so, in light of all the evidence. They are lying. You also don't believe they were celebrating the rapes, again despite the pictorial, anecdotal and video evidence. I can't make it any clearer. Hamas, as well as being murderous terrorists, also lie.

They could have committed rapes, celebrated them and later tried to claim to the rest of the world they didn’t happen.

They might have SAID "there were no rapes" however, they were clearly incorrect, since there WERE RAPES.

'THEY' got it wrong.

magneticclocks · 11/03/2026 17:41

Twiglets1 · 11/03/2026 15:49

Obviously.

@Twiglets1 @inamarina I am finding this exchange really distasteful, but I do think this needs to be pushed back on. The other poster said "I can assure you there are people who don't give a monkeys that Jewish men and women were raped and some even celebrated it happening even on 8 October 2023 immediately after they had taken place". On 8 October Hamas said that the accusations of rape and decapitating babie and other things were fake news or false flag. This is not about "did they rape" or "do you believe them". It is about the fact that Palestinians celebrating what they saw as a Hamas victory would not be celebrating something Hamas had said they hadn't done.

I have also pointed out that people who are talking about evidence are not denying rape, they are saying that Israel used information like this to justify flattening Palestine. I am not giving personal views here. Yet you (plural) keep ignoring that, refuse to discuss it and keep insisting that it is rape denial and disgusting. Meaning that anyone who says that they think Israel gave fake information/could have been culpable etc and that this is relevant to what happened next are silenced by you (plural) instead of being able to raise concerns about what is happening in a geopolitical sense and the risk it poses to everyone.

And I have said upthread that it is a well researched issue and in some cases admitted that incorrect information has been given by governments in the past in order to justify wars - here I am thinking about ww1 and Britain, or the Iraq weapons of mass destruction, just as examples. The fact that it is Israel which is involved this time shouldn't stop any of us from questioning every aspect of what has happened.

Goodness, what a stretch. Are you often prone to suggest people say things they didn't. You've gone off at a tangent from the thread discussion and comments about whether there were or were not rapes. A massive tangent bringing in things not discussed.

I think I'll leave it at my comments:

There were rapes.

Some people deny it. They are disgusting.

The Green Party spokesperson make some tweets. She was challenged on them, over whether there was proof of rapes. (The thread topic). She was robustly challenged on those views. She deleted her tweets, but didn't apologise. If she is happy with her accuracy (in what she originally stated) why delete. She was wrong, hence her deleting the tweets. However, no apology issued.

Enjoy your day.

(Rape is never resistance, it's an evil crime, whoever does it).

This is a site for mothers and mothers care about the world their children are growing up in.

Have you watched the report I linked? Why do you think there is a conflict in information?
