Because some people don't want to believe it. It's like when we, as women, complain about not feeling safe - many men automatically dismiss this. It's not their experience, so it doesn't happen. Jewish women's voices seem not to be heard at the moment.

It seems to be focused on disbelieving Jewish women unfortunately. There is a big push to listen to minority voices at the moment, but that only includes certain minority voices.

OrangeAxolotyl · 08/03/2026 17:48

It's not acceptable. Ignoring concerns doesn't make it go away, I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

Ihatetomatoes · 08/03/2026 21:14

Simon Myerson KC reply to the vile tweets.

magneticclocks · 08/03/2026 21:15

Aislyn · 08/03/2026 17:25

Thank you.

I don't understand why my minority voice regarding my experience of racism is so easily dismissed by some.

It wasn't dismissed. If you think it was, can you quote it for me please.

I think that @OrangeAxolotyl was misunderstanding or misrepresenting. If you go back and read what I wrote, the entire post, right down to where I spoke about a local synagogue you will see that in no part was anything dismissed. But if you disagree, quote my actual words. Thank you.

Orangeaxolotyl - as you are spending so much time here, could you tell me where Ian Kershaw has disagreed with what i wrote? I don't think it is fair to say "you are wrong but I won't explain". I suspect that you have only read fragments of Ian Kershaw's books and you may have misunderstood context and the bigger picture, as that seems to be happening in relation to other subject matter here.

OrangeAxolotyl · 08/03/2026 21:19

@magneticclocks no need to get personal. Yes, I have read the Kershaw canon. In it's entirety.
It's my wheelhouse, as they say.

It seems to be focused on disbelieving Jewish women unfortunately. There is a big push to listen to minority voices at the moment, but that only includes certain minority voices.

In relation to disbelieving also, bear in mind that (a) the video I linked does not "disbelieve" it talks about evidence and other issues and people who talk about evidence are not "disbelieving" they are talking about evidence and (b) the recent UN report highlighted both sexual attacks against Israeli women and also sexual attacks against Palestinians by Isrealis which has been said to be untrue by Israel, and so if you are concerned about "disbelief" I do think it is important to be fair and to also mention Israel rejecting of Palestinian claims by men. You may disagree.

The woman you are talking about here quotes what other professionals have said. I think it is important that you bear this in mind. You may disagree.

I think that what is going on in the middle east right now threatens to turn into wwIII, children and women as well as men are being killed, and talking about issues in a way which takes all humanity into consideration is better than othering. Again, you may disagree.

This isn't whataboutery. The term whataboutery was invented to try to guilt trip people into silence about real issues which run in tandem and interrelated with the things they raised.

I didn't get personal. I asked you a question and highlighted that you had misunderstood or misrepresented things. Do you think you could answer my question about what you disagreed with re Hitler/Nazis? What bit do you think Ian would disagree with? Thanks.

Since the Green Party representative subsequently deleted her tweets (not before they were screenshot though) might show she knew she was wrong, they were wrong, so why not apologise. Interesting that no apology forthcoming.

That is interesting. I wonder if the Party will respond to our queries.

Couldn't post the link but the replies from Simon Myerson KC and subsequent replies with indicators appearing to show how rape is viewed differently depending on who was raped

That thread of tweets and replies includes Abi tweeting the Zionists are Demons

@LucyWestenra I'm glad that the overwhelming majority of voters think you are not being unreasonable. However, the Green Party have yet to even bother to say anything. I guess that suggests the Green Party don't really care about their position on whether rapes occur or not (well for Jewish women anyway). I notice their spokeswoman Abi was very vocal about a comedian who make 'rape jokes' so sometimes she thinks it's an issue of importance.

Any party that cannot make something as important as this and position on rape is not the party for me.

Anyone else have a reply from the Green Party? Did they bother?

OrangeAxolotyl · 09/03/2026 16:46

No response for me on the query so far, just 2 messages telling me how to get membership! 😂
It's a well oiled machine 👌

I had an automated reply, stating they are ‘experiencing a high volume of emails and may take a few days to get back to me’

Not holding my breath though

Yes, on a site predominantly for mother's or parents and a sizeable number don't find deniel of rape claims disgusting. Scary really.. imagine these people on jury duty at rape trials.

It's because Jewish women were raped and in some people's eyes that is fine. Absolutely disgusting.

Yes, that’s what it comes down to, always.

As long as the victims are Jewish it’s ok.

Fucking sinister and I can’t believe we’re here again.

I want no part in this but I’m not so disillusioned to believe my voice will make one iota of difference.

That's why we have to keep pushing back on it Lucy; the only way for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing.
We have to speak up for those who cannot.

It’s funny you should say that @OrangeAxolotyl ; that’s exactly what my husband and I were talking about yesterday.

That quote I mean.
