Made to feel uncomfortable

Scottishlassie10 · 20/02/2026 09:17

Now I’m all for people wearing what they want but I do think there is a time and a place. My husband was in the health club last night relaxing in the jacuzzi when a group of young women in their early 20s wearing bikinis that left little to the imagination (think thong bottoms and boobs barely covered) started parading around. They came into the jacuzzi which I know they’re entitled to do, however 2 sat next to him and 2 directly facing. It’s quite a big jacuzzi so they had no need to sit where they did. He was the only male in. He felt he had no option to leave as this made him feel quite uncomfortable. Now I may be unreasonable in my thinking but I do think if the shoe was on the other foot and a male was to strut around the poolside in a thong or a group of men where to sit in an empty jacuzzi in close proximity to a female complaints would be made.

parafing around? Or just walking? I have a friend who thinks like this. Certain swimwear fit the pool, another for the beach, and that applies to full costumes. It's tiresome. And based on insecurity.

Scottishlassie10 · 20/02/2026 09:34

They weren’t wearing swimsuits. These were very skimpy bikinis more akin to the beach.

Does your husband feel uncomfortable on beaches, then?

BudgetBuster · 20/02/2026 09:50

Shadeflower · 20/02/2026 09:42

Jesus, two posts in and you haven't read the OP?

Generally speaking I am very much it is different when its the other way round, but a think a group of four women choosing skimpy bikinis and then choosing to sit close to a lone man, knew what they were doing.

I did read it... 2 of the girls sat opposite him so basically as far away as they could get and 2 girls next to him.

I know the OP says it's a big jacuzzi but realistically how big can it be? They didn't sit on his lap ffs

The way she describes these women is so condescending

Brightlittlecanary · 20/02/2026 09:49

knew What they were doing?? They aren’t remotely interested in your husband, there is absolutely no way these young women were rubbing themselves up and dressing for your husbands attention. Get a grip of your jealousy and your husband needs to stop perving and rushing home to tell you all about it.

I’m sure they weren’t and I never implied they were. I’m not jealous in the least.

Of course not. I never said to happened more than once when he was there. I’ve seen them in micro bikinis when I’ve been there on my own.

So, they can wear whatever bikinis they chose, I doubt they even noticed your husband, and were having fun together, the fact you’re jealous and he was perving so hard he had to leave is not their problem,. They don’t need to cover up so he finds it easier to control himself. And I can assure you even on modest swimwea he’d still have been perving,

So they are regular pool users? Paying for the privilege. Why didn't you complain to them when you saw them?

PevenseygirlQQ · 20/02/2026 09:52

Women wear bikinis in a jacuzzi…. Shocker

Yeah you are, if you were not you’d be saying keep your eyes in your head you fucking perv they can wear what they want, instead you’re on here complaining they were not covered up enough, making ridiculous statements about them rubbing their boobs and arses and knowing what they were doing like they were doing it for his benefit.

they were not,

Thatescalatedquickly2 · 20/02/2026 09:53

OP - few saunas are so big that 5 people can fit in them and not be sitting close to each other. In saunas at swimming pools you can maybe fit about 6 people max.

they didn’t do this on purpose. They just sat in a sauna with bikinis on

Parading around? Is this 1950? You need to re-evaluate the way you talk about women. Swim wear is swim wear. Your husband is a grown man. These women did absolutely nothing to him other than attend their local pool. You are making it sound like they were sexually inappropriate when that's not the case. It's pretty grim you are reinforcing wrong and outdated views that women should cover up and if they dont, they are obviously looking for attention from men.

DancingNotDrowning · 20/02/2026 09:54

I’m conflicted, on the own hand I think your post is hyperbolic and misogynistic.

on the other hand i happened to be in the spa with my DD16 yesterday and she was wearing a new bikini i hadn’t seen before and frankly I felt uncomfortable with the 3 triangles of fabric and dental floss that it appeared to be made from

The wording is jist awful isn’t it. Rubbing their boobs and bums, knew what they were doing, parading around,

it’s one stop short of asking for it.

Womaninhouse17 · 20/02/2026 09:54

He felt uncomfortable - they didn't make him feel that way. If he doesn't want to see any naked female flesh, perhaps he'd better avoid swimming pools and jacuzzis.

A health club is not the same as a beach.

MayaPinion · 20/02/2026 09:55

Is your DH Brad Pitt? Do you think they were doing it because they fancied him? This sounds like a DH fantasy TBH.

ClaredeBear · 20/02/2026 09:56

ThatCyanCat · 20/02/2026 09:56

Groups of people going into jacuzzis will split and sit opposite each other.

I'm not a huge fan of those bikinis either but women are allowed to wear them. If you don't want to risk seeing them, the pool isn't for you.

TinkyWinkyLaLaPo · 20/02/2026 09:56

I bet he did not leave , told you he left so he could validate himself

I bet he loved it 🤣

women are entitled to wear what they want though? If it was you ‘parading’ around wouldn’t be an issue would it?

does your DH think he’s a king and he’s only allowed in the hot tub with noone else around?

Your DH lived out his fantasy and has told you different 🤣🤣

nomas · 20/02/2026 09:57

So many women seem to think their man is an Adonis that other women salivate over. And then you see a picture of the man and he looks like Nick Cotton from Eastenders.

Zebedee999 · 20/02/2026 09:57

BauhausOfEliott · 20/02/2026 09:24

Sounds more like your husband having a little fantasy to be honest.

How do you work that out when he decided to get out?

BlimeyOReillyO · 20/02/2026 09:57

KimberleyClark · 20/02/2026 09:55

A health club is not the same as a beach.

Women look the same in a bikini either in a health club or a gym.

Though the parading, maybe something they can only do at a gym? Although, I think it’s actually just walking and was called parading for dramatic effect! x

Perhaps he got out before an unfortunate stiffy prevented him leaving
