Despite his villainous behaviour, anyone feel a teeny bit sorry for Andrew?

Before I get totally flamed, I despise his attitude, and the things he appears to have done - particularly the subsequent lying and apparent determination to shield/ hide misdemeanours. However, seeing the photo of his release today looking a broken man after such huge public downfall , plus thinking of him going back to an empty house on his birthday with no family support - even though I initially felt he deserves every indignity and consequence - there’s still a teeny part of me that just can’t help feeling just a little bit sorry for him. If it’s true that he was taken to a brothel at age 11 , whilst it would in no way excuse abusing others , it means he has also been a victim of abuse. Additionally it seems the Queen and his entourage have never ever said no to him in his whole life- so to reach his 7th decade before any consequences hit makes me question how resilient he will be able to be. Obviously main sympathies are always rightly with any victims , but even the most hardened and perpetual criminals often retain family support, he seems to have nobody. ( albeit if his own making ) or am I just being too soft?!

Are you saying Andrew MBW gave his nephew this adult boob toy to play with? That's even more creepy. Envy

This is pure speculation, unless you were there. I'm not defending him but the doj and the media seem to be absolutely obsessed and very selective on what the print

Well it does look like a breast, and fuck knows what that picture is in the background. Looks like an adult with a child in underwear, dunno, can't quite make it out (or may be perfectly innocent).

Edited

Yea it could be perfectly innocent

IngridBergmannn · 20/02/2026 17:14

What... I feel sorry for poor Virginia Giuffre. Fuck Andrew. He should be locked up.

I am not speculating anything but others are claiming these pictures show Andrew giving his nephew James a ballon or whatever. The photo as such are uncomfortable, not something I'd like stored on my hard drive and not best pleased to have clicd on it at all.

However it loo highly unlikely that Andrew is an innocent lamb🐑
Time will tell.

the7Vabo · 20/02/2026 17:31

I don’t feel sorry for him as such.

I do agree with your point that he’s had to wait a hell of a long time to be told no in his life, and that must be quite the come down.

The whole thing makes me think a hell of a lot less of the late Queen. She spoiled him until the very end.

It raises a lot of questions about entitlement, the status of the royal family and abuse of privilege.

He was let away with awful awful behaviour for years - greedy, grabby, entitled and that’s before you get onto the darker stuff.

And that stuff about money and dodgy dealings was in the papers years ago, and nobody did anything.

His daughters should not have titles. They should disappear from public life as should his ex although she could probably be charged too.

It’s just awful.

Im also surprised that William was seen with him publicly as recently as 2023. I thought William was going to be the clean future of the monarchy.

Notmenothere · 20/02/2026 17:37

The ball looks like a boob. Andrew is rolling a ball that looks like a boob to a toddler. Whoever the child is, it’s completely inappropriate. What kind of person gives a ball like that to a toddler?

I have to say, I find the mental leaps being made here to deflect and minimise the situation staggering.

Can't say that I do. In fact, I hope to see a lot more of the rich and powerful people in the Epstein files in his position.

I second that.

Hmmmm….no.

Well, I thought we were supposed to have moved on from the very worst days of trial by media sensationalism. I thought the BBC and co were slow mindful of people’s mental health yet here they are practically baying for him to top himself, saying what’s left for him while showing that ghastly pic of him? Honestly, they are vilifying him more than they did mass murderer Axel Rudakubana. No mention of not prejudicing upcoming trials either. I think the whole country has lost its mind this week.

Aprilmaymum · 20/02/2026 09:47

In regard to family. His kids are not speaking to him. They have all washed their hands of him. I honestly can see him harming him self.

i simply don’t care. What about the victims? There will be countless others he raped not just Virginia Guiffre. He was complicit in a paedofile sex ring - he deserves everything coming his way.

HelloDandy · 20/02/2026 19:51

Feel sorry for him? Jesus no! No, no and no again!

What?

Where have the BBC been baying to top himself? I have seen nothing like this. I watch BBC news, Sky and other channels and I have seen nothing like that.

What ghastly pic? Him leaving a police station? If you feel so strongly about it, contact the photographer from Reuters. I think, honestly, with all that Andrew has done, he deserves a bit of a crap pic.

I have not lost my mind by the way. How insuIting. I am looking at all of this as logically as possible and paying attention to historians and constitutionalists and not buying into the grubby stuff.

Do you want to censor the press? 👀

They are not vilifying him or baying for him to top himself. They are reporting facts.

Motherofalittledragon · 20/02/2026 20:16

Nope not one tiny bit.

EmmaSummerHat · 20/02/2026 20:19

No, his life didn’t have to take that path. He had everything given to him and decided to drag it in the dirt. Plenty of reports from former staff say he’s not a nice person too

Tbh I agree with this to some extent, but the man is blindingly arrogant & has been for years. He had thousands of opportunities to step away from public life given all the stuff that came out about him over many many years. And yet he was on a horse waving at people a few days ago.

I agree with this.

He has had so many opportunities to actually behave but he seems to have been on a self satisfaction I'll do what I want journey. I will always wonder how much the Palace have tried to rein him in. I would love to know.

As I said before elsewhere... he could have had a fantastic life. Travelling to the best places in the world first class and more , spending time with his grandchildren, a bit of philanthropy and charity work, playing golf all over the world on his favourite courses but no... he just was so so greedy and told the public to just fuck off questioning him! He deserves all he gets.

People who are sexual deviants wouldn’t be satisfied with that life.

If you leave that aside, he couldn’t seem to stop seeking a profile, & money grabbing. He could have taken a step back in that respect but he didn’t.

It’s often all part of being a predator. They get off on doing it in plain sight.
