Husband licks his dinner plate after eating

Not every meal and only when we have our family dinner but sometimes when he has finished eating he will pick his plate up and lick it clean!! I find this totally gross and have told him but this time i told him he was worse than a dog. My daughter thinks my comments were callous!! AIBU and just let him do this if it makes him happy? Only does it at home!

My exH used to do this and also lick his fingers after eating a packet of crisps.
Ex for a reason!

Of course its subjective, that's why so many people do it at home. There's lots of things that are perfectly fine to do at home that you wouldn't do in public, like walk around in your pants, or burp freely after a fizzy drink, or things like that.
