Husband licks his dinner plate after eating

Not every meal and only when we have our family dinner but sometimes when he has finished eating he will pick his plate up and lick it clean!! I find this totally gross and have told him but this time i told him he was worse than a dog. My daughter thinks my comments were callous!! AIBU and just let him do this if it makes him happy? Only does it at home!

No I couldn’t bear it but we all have different etiquettes and things we don’t like about each other, no matter how much we love a person. I guess I’d have to keep telling my husband and he could probably remark on something that I do that he doesn’t like! Although I’d like to think if your partner is really grossed out by something that really you would stop

Hmm. Weird behaviour isn’t it? Not sure I’ve ever seen anyone do this in real life beyond the first time my son had ice cream in a bowl aged around 2?!

Yuk, I had a first date with a guy who did this years ago, he also picked up the chicken leg from his plate and sucked it clean!
This was in a restaurant, I declined a second date.
