Lied to get a jab now friend is angry

I don’t understand why my friend is annoyed at me as it doesn’t effect anyone else.. part of me thinks it’s jealousy but she’s not speaking to me because I told her how I managed to lose 1.5stone.
backstory- I lied to get an online prescription by saying I was about 1.5stone heavier than I was then when I needed to send photos I just made my scales say more to match the weight I submitted. Not exactly a difficult lie but it worked and I’ve had 2pens of mounjaro 2.5 and I’m now 8.5stone. I feel great, the size I want to be and no side effects so yes I feel smug that my lie worked and I lost the weight easy.
well my friend who has been trying to lose weight too but not via jabs is furious saying I should be ashamed of myself.
surely it doesn’t effect anyone else? I paid full price so can’t be blamed for stealing from the nhs

It's not a shake. It's a bottle of 30 tablets.

medislim comes as a shake AND tablets. all pure snake oil.

MeridaBrave · 16/02/2026 21:38

Well, she went through your fridge. It’s her problem. Loads of people lie to get them.

Frenchfrychic · 16/02/2026 21:40

nam3c4ang3 · 16/02/2026 21:36

Wow - I thought you needed more than 2 jabs to lose that much - that’s pretty wild. I might lie to get some too 😂 trying to shift 2kg is hard…

Two Pens, not two jabs, two pens is between 8-10 jabs,

how do you get "very likely to" from "can"

Because if you starve your body of nourishment (can't eat more than a few mouthfuls at a meal) it will behave differently when you allow it to have a normal appetite again. Not only will the weight go back on, but as the article says, it goes back on much faster than if you'd lost weight by eating less and exercising more. I understand why weight loss jabs are so popular, but I honestly think those who use them when they don't clinically need to are storing up problems for the future.

but the article says "can" and your post says "very likely to" which is not the same thing at all.

Well the world health organisation and all global health authorities disagree with you; but do email them, from the fda to the mhra to the who on and let them know?

for info though, our bodies don’t “behave” in the manner you describe, our brains control our behaviour. In addition as the pp said, can and very likely to are very different meanings in the English language,

I remember back in the nineties dr dodgy would prescribe speed basically 😂, not heard of anyone actually taking it for years though. Not as a diet pill anyway.

God, no, I was prescribed these decades ago. They made me totally manic 😳. I didn’t sleep for days.

I came off of them, and had a mood crash that was awful.

They are really a bad idea.

Its recommended when on the jabs that you exercise and eat a calorie deficit…

some people may struggle to start with eating, but many people try and eat healthier and exercise more just as someone hopefully does using other weight loss methods

i would think that those people will find it more straightforward to maintain….any diet where you starve yourself and then go back to eating the way you did before the diet are going to struggle with weight gain

I do not understand why you are smug when you cheated to lose weight but each to their own. I am completely against this drug so I am not the target audience I guess for any discussion on it but being smug about something you cheated rather than completed as it were would bug me too.

Out of interest, why are you against this drug?

And who or what is it cheating on. Weight loss isn’t a competition.

Prejudice and idiocy most likely

Anonanonanonagain · 17/02/2026 10:04

Idiocy haha brilliant 😂

The only sure fire SAFE way to lose weight is to move more and eat less. I see this causing issues for people in future. I am entitled to an opinion but once I get accused of idiocy for an opinion I feel my time discussing it has come to an end. I have no need to be put down for my own opinions on something.

And you don’t think people eat less and move more when on the drugs?

Anonanonanonagain · 17/02/2026 10:08

Well clearly as it is an appetite suppressant but I personally do not feel it is a natural and authentic way to go about things. I am allowed a personal opinion.

i think you were put down for your use of the word “cheat”.

And why it would “bug” you if someone used it, thereby forming their own opinion of how they lose weight.

After all people can how their own opinion what is best for their bodies and health?

Sure, I guess no one understands why natural and authentic here is key when obesity is the biggest killer we have,

Anonanonanonagain · 17/02/2026 10:14

Well then cause needs to be worked on more than fixing the issue. Anyway I meant if I was the friend in this instance it would bug me but I am not and dont need to lose weight myself so no point in my discussing it really.

I assume you’re responding to me?

So, turning food noise off, whilst allowing someone to explore the issues and the choices of healthier food, is not a good idea?

Someone losing weight and then having the confidence to get to the gym, start running, walking etc is not a good thing?

So, they’ve now learnt how to control calories and started exercise.

You've no need to discuss it, not in the situation of some people, but you decreed it’s “cheating”. How opinionated on something you’ve no knowledge or understanding of!

I'm naturally and authentically obese. Your opinion is idiocy. Based on nothing but ignorance and prejudice - what else would you call it?

You are, but when your calling people cheats, they’ll call you out on that!

As you say you’ve no experience or knowledge, so
its easy to sit in your ivory tower and tell others they are cheating.

Jeschara · 17/02/2026 10:27

I don't agree with what you done, but it is none of your friends business.
You did not tell her, and she saw it in your fridge. If she said anything to me I would have just said "yes I use it" and then refuse to discuss it further.
Your friend does sound a bit holier than though.

And you don’t think cause has been looked at. Or thst every single obese person has tried everything, that this is the last resort rather than the first?

your opinion would carry more weight if you didn’t throw out emotional and illogical terms such as inauthentic or cheating. Both utterly pointless comments when it comes to the biggest killer in society, obesity.

so no medication or medical intervention EVER for you because its not natural and authentic? no central heating? no modern skin care?

Anonanonanonagain · 17/02/2026 10:52

Listen ladies I responded to questions asked and I wont be drawn into explaining myself over and over again. I dont believe in the jab and I am allowed a personal opinion the same as people having personal opinions on things I personally do or do not do. The op posted and I gave my personal opinion and response no more no less.
