Sorry if I missed a thread, but has anyone else seen this?

It’s fucking disgusting.

I thought nothing this man could do would shock me anymore, how can he still be in office?

The USA should be excluded from the Winter Olympics same as Russia.

MrsFrumble · 08/02/2026 02:57

The cost of living has not gone down. I live in the US, in a red state in the south; we moved here 18 months ago for DH’s work, 6 months before Trump was inaugurated. Groceries, energy and eating out all cost more than they did in summer 2024. Gas prices fluctuate but are no way consistently less than when we arrived.

BTW, we also lived here during the Obama years and the cost of living was genuinely affordable.

Naturally I don't use 'Google'. A neutral source of information is a superior choice.

Then go and find a superior source of information to fucking educate yourself about why the old racist trope of comparing black people to monkeys is so deeply offensive.

Of course, if you actually cared, you'd have done it by now already.

Shame on you for seeking to defend the indefensible.

Having black and brown people in your cabinet does not mean you are not racist. The PoC are weapons used against other PoC. Like Usha Vance, treated like dirt by her own husband.
The same seen in the UK, where PoC are used to announce just about every racist iniative, like sending refugees to Rwanda.

Yes.
This is why sex offenders frequently want a female barrister or spokesperson.

@sidebirds is still defending racism I see. Very odd behaviour.

Everyone I spoke to (again - personal experience not a 'scientific' survey) was saying that the economy is thriving since Trump was re-elected, meaning that the cost of living has gone down, cheaper food prices (except New York😮‍💨 - and this will only get worse now they have rashly elected a communist mayor: will have a detrimental effect on tourism there), increased job opportunities, cheaper fuel - huge difference to all the Uber drivers we met, many being black or Hispanic, who could now do that job again (often as a second job) after being forced to quit with the crazy fuel price-hikes under Biden. One (white) Uber driver was saying he had a small (8 vehicle) truck company pre-Biden. Fuel price-hikes destroyed his business.

Oh look. A Trump supporter who doesn't understand what Communism is but repeats the blatant lie that Mamdani is a Communist. I'm shocked, shocked I tell you... well not that shocked.

Also unemployment since Trump came in to office a year ago has steadily increased as has inflation. Facts don't care about your feelings, despite the stories you're telling about your entirely believable and definitely real interactions with a wholesome mix of US citizens.

I suspect that the pp's "superior" sources of information probably told her that he was a communist. Wink

Yes, I suspect that Truth Social, r/Conservative and The Daily Wire play a notable role.

@sidebirds unemployment in the US is a nightmare at the moment and everyone who is dealing with import/ export are really struggling because of the retarded tariffs. Haulage companies are on their knees. Not enough doctors. Difficult to get appointments. The country is fucked.

I don't suppose that @sidebirds would consider The Economist to be a sufficiently "superior" source of information.

I don't think she will engage with facts. She is only interested in "information" (sic) that can be used to back up her preferred narrative.

There is no point in trying to educate people like this. They are beyond help.

A neutral source of reference is invaluable. 'Google' both censors results and gives prominence to those that promote the leftist agenda favoured by the company. The 'Brave' browser is recommended as a politically unbiased search-engine; it also doesn't track you. For so-called 'confirmation bias', stick with 'Google' 🤷🏽‍♀️

So have you managed to use your superior source of information to educate yourself yet on why portraying black people as monkeys is considered horribly racist?

Why not come and tell us what you have learned?

It's widely known that Priti Patel and Nigel Farage are long-standing friends (20 years) - or at least they were.

That person is simply racist - best ignored. Them alleging Google is not “neutral” as an reason to not research is just a lazy excuse.
