Romesh Ranganathan show with Sally Traffic messing around and just talking all the time and not playing music? I don't want to listen to them chattering away as if there's no audience.

It is being reported that Scott Mills has been sacked from the bbc!!!

must be pretty serious given it seems he's been sacked pretty much immediately rather than 'suspended during investigations'...

What?! What the hell did he do? He seemed to be really enjoying the morning slot.
The mind boggles what this is about.

I wondered why Gary Davies sounded so chirpy covering for Scott Mills. Gary Davies comes across as deliriously happy over the last few days (more so than usual) to the point where it is noticeable. He's been really effusive about everything which has been a marked change to when he has covered slots in the past.

Mail saying,

It was confirmed on Monday that the 53-year-old Radio 2 star has been fired by the BBC following a complaint about his personal conduct. Hours later it was then claimed that the sacking relates to a 'historic male relationship from more than ten years ago'.

I think this may be a very safe and generous spin by MailOnline because there’s no harm in a consenting, legal relationship that does not involve a imbalance of power.

But it’s up to Mills to reveal what he’s comfortable with. He’s had well publicised alcohol issues after bereavement (a fair while ago) and lost his way. If he crossed the line with his behaviour then presumably it’ll be at least in the category of bringing the BBC into disrepute for his contract to be summarily terminated.

The other morning Scott had played three songs in 25 minutes. Most of the rest of the time was Ellie Brennan waffling on about going to the Olivier Awards for at least 10 mins. I'm sick of chit chat going on for so long now. I'd put R4 on for chat and discussion.
