I've noticed over the last few weeks that certain posters have been finding it more and more difficult to defend ICE. As time goes on there are more incidents that make even them hesitate.
Renee was murdered, and they were all "domestic terrorist, FAFO...".
Some teenage US citizens were abducted from their workplace and beaten up before being dumped miles away, and those posters went "I don't like that, but...".
Now Alex has been murdered and they are really struggling to argue now, they'll change the subject to anything else ("fraud...illegals...") to avoid it.
Even the Second Amendment cultists have woken up, they've realised that if the government can use a liberal's legally held gun as an excuse to execute them, that opens the door to governments restricting all gun use. They've clearly worked out the meaning of the poem:
First they came for the Ecuadorians
And I did not speak out
Because I was not from Ecuador
Then they came for the brown citizens
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a brown citizen
Then they came for the white liberals
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a liberal
Then they came for the gun owners
And there was no one left
To speak out for me
