In tears in the restaurant bathroom.. TW: Periods

I know this is probably stupid but here goes.

come out this afternoon for a really special celebratory meal with my DH and his family.

I am currently on my period, however when I woke up this morning I woke up in a pool of blood. My underwear, pyjamas, bed linen - all of it was ruined. I’m sorry this is probably TMI. I didn’t have much pain, just surprised me.

Anyway - I am currently in said restaurant and I’m really struggling. My stomach is cramping beyond belief, literally one wave after the other and I can feel ‘gushes’ (I’m sorry )

I excused myself to come to the bathroom and literally cannot get off the toilet. I’ve been in here over half an hour and have text. DH to please explain to his parents I’m not feeling well.

My stomach is literally agony and I feel like I could pass out from the waves of cramps. Literally one after the other and the bleeding has gotten really heavy again.

I am on the implant so whilst I do get ‘periods’ they can sometimes be irregular / I skip them.

I am sorry this is probably TMI but I’m in so much pain I’m just doubled over and can barely move. I don’t know if this is normal or not. 😩

Hope you’re okay, OP. I’ve had a couple of experiences like this (turns out I needed a myomectomy for fibroids) and I know how scary it can be. Don’t feel bad - you didn’t ruin a meal by being rude or offensive or drunk - you weren’t well and that’s totally different!

Take yourself gp ,even if this is normal for you op ,mine have got heavier of late but I think mine is linked to peri .
They are bastard thing so uncomfortable and depressing x

Hi everyone. Sorry for the radio silence.
Unfortunately, it appears to be a complication with one of my cysts.

I have had another ultrasound scan and they are almost certain one has burst.

Ibuprofen also helps to reduce the flow.

Sending very unMN hugs. Burst cysts are the absolute pits. On a side note as a Mum and a MIL I'd be straight (if allowed) into the loo to support DD or DIL, these things happen.

Thank you all, I hate having to go to hospital and especially hate the thought of wasting anyone’s time, but I am glad I’ve been seen.

Have been hooked up just now to an IV drip for fluid and am resting in a ward until we know the next steps.

The bedding etc isn't ruined. Soak it in cold water and Vanish oxy action, preferably overnight. Then wash on a cool wash. Repeat if it hasn't come out.

Blood comes out provided you don't put hot water on it which sets the stain.

It sounds horrific but you are in the best place now.

Ask your partner to go to nearest shop and get you strong pain relief and period products and wipes if needed. No need to be embarrassed.

Book an appointment with the GP and ask for a gynae referral as this sounds so painful for you.

She's in hospital now, on a ward.

I’m glad your DH is a good fella and you’ve got a bed on a ward and you’re being looked after. Take it easy and sending you hugs. 🤗

As another poster says, blood and other boldly fluids are easily washed out of fabric so your bedding won’t be ruined. Get your DH to put it all in the bath and soak it in cold water for a bit to get most of the blood out, before washing it in a biological detergent.

So glad you went to A&E and have been seen. So sorry you’re going through this it sounds so painful and scary.

If you are in absolute agony, A&E is NEVER wasting anyone's time. Hope the pain is gone at least
