OMG, I've just watched some clips of that. It richly deserves its critical reputation as one of the worst films of all time! It's bad, and not the so bad it's good kind of bad. What was Shyamalan thinking?! This should've been right up his street.

Peltz was only 15, I think, and no more or less wooden than the rest of the cast and the direction. Unfortunately, her own more recent film was panned nearly as badly. I have a visceral objection to drug-addicted angel prostitute tropes, so won't be watching it.

She apparently works hard at craft & has a good coach. I’d be saving my allowance & launch my own movie with oscar winning cast! A bit of innovation & tenacity & she’s there!

just seen all the birthday messages from the family to BB. It’s seems like such an orchestrated publicity stunt to present themselves as the good guys. Why couldn’t they just whattsap him like normal people to say ‘Happy Birthday’ and let them know they love him. They are so well aware the headlines about olive branches etc will be all over the press.

Wait, they’ve done public posts wishing their son a happy birthday? Bloody hell. He made it clear he doesn’t want contact from them. D and V are crazy. They clearly value their public image way more than their private family life. The general public, people they don’t know and will never meet in their lifetime over the people they’re supposed to care about most in the world. It’s actually really sad.

For anyone doubting Brooklyns side of things, I think this shows exactly who the Beckham are. Parents that don’t respect their adult child, don’t respect his boundaries and put their public image above him, which is what he said.

I agree, they didn’t have to do the public blitz of birthday love, they could have wished him happy birthday privately via one of the grandparents. I can imagine it is very painful for them.

They really are a weird bunch.
