Where is it?

Will they even do one?

Has anyone changed their initial viewpoint on the whole thing?

And lastly….Team Brooklyn or Team Beckham?

Yes, in response to your rude comments…! Literally nobody else is doing that, they’re here about this discussion as they’re interested in it, if you’re not then jog on and don’t put people down and ask if they have a life because they start or post on a thread, isn’t that a waste of your clearly packed life?

That makes no sense but okay. My comment was light-hearted. You took it so seriously. People have commented against the discussion and you have literally replied.

Who is saying it’s a conspiracy theory? You seem to be taking this very seriously….

I agree, for somebody who isn't interested.

Happysummerrain · 24/01/2026 10:19

Ironic since you felt compelled to write an amusingly serious post about it and you decided to answer my joke so seriously. To clarify the conspiracy comment: you said NP wrote it.

I thought it had come about she had guided him when he wrote it? Are you having a go at all the other OPs of the Beckham threads?

Williteverstopraininghey · 24/01/2026 11:48

How do you know that they are planting it though???

I don't know that they are planting them but it's odd that they do always seem to have a pro Beckham, neutral Brooklyn, anti Nicola slant to them.

I think if I were in their shoes and untrue stories were being printed alluding to things I'd said then I'd probably put a story of my Instagram page saying something like "the stories the DM are printing are false and not coming from any sources connected to our family. Please stop and respect our privacy".

But that's just me, obviously they can do whatever they want.

Lol at this poster trying to convince us they are on here from a purely psychological perspective and clearly superior to those of us who just want to gossip.

Pull the other one honey!

Re. the Mar a Lago stuff - that is basically just a case of new money v old money. Mar a Lago is very exclusive and you need to be extremely wealthy to go there. I’m sure Donald Trump and the Peltz’s wouldn’t want to hang out in the stuffy old WASP enclaves with the dried up old farts anyway. It’s £1 million to become a member and the only 6 star private club in the world. So not exactly “dodgy”.

I think it is a little more than new money v old money

Mar a Lago is very exclusive and you need to be extremely wealthy to go there

The point about Mar a Lago is that it is not exclusive at all - no matter who or what you are if you have the money, you can join.

the only 6 star private club in the world.

Sales pitch and very silly.

So not exactly “dodgy”.

Money is the only criteria, but you are right, it is not exactly dodgy. It is completely dodgy.

But - if your criteria for "exclusive" is money - so be it.

PinkPanther57 · 24/01/2026 13:56

Would the Peltz feel & have always felt secure in their society? The WASP view? Are the Peltz cultured & sophisticated?

How would the Peltz see the Beckhams socially? And a likely disrespect for inferior wealth?

From what I've read, Nelson Peltz worked his way up in a relatively small family business and turned it into a huge business. So relatively new money themselves. However I'm not sure how big the original business was in his father's time, so maybe there was always money there.

I know the WASP aspect and the Jewish aspect may form part of how you fit into the upper echelons of society in the US (please don't take that to be anyway defamatory, it's not meant to be). I think a PP mentioned as much but I certainly don't have a clue.

Honestly, I’d rather go party with the new money crew. The other lot sound extremely boring. And if blocking people entry based on skin colour, religion and how many years their ancestors can be traced back to the Mayflower is your idea of exclusive then you’re welcome to it!

NP has spoken about her family being non Hollywood and preferring to stay out of the public eye (which makes sense for people worth that much) I read something that said she and her siblings were very sporty and played hockey every weekend for years.

I can imagine there’s a lot of clash of culture going on with the Beckhams & the Peltz’s. And I’m sure the Beckhams are more than a little miffed that the Peltz’s are so very much wealthier than them. As a pp said - BB marrying into that family kind of takes away that element of power they have over him.

Thank you.,Nelson got to an Ivy league, although dropped out. Apparently the fam prioritised sport & education re: kids - the former to as higher level as possible being the non negotiable.

The ultra high net worths increasingly keep
a low profile on the socials - appearing to preen, if they must, re: philanthropy Arts stuff. They don’t want business rivals & tax people to sniff about.

Geri H has, perhaps wisely, embraced the life above.

Celebrity & real fame more trouble than worth. I wonder if VB’s Netflix really was to try to sell her fashion business?

GarlicSound · 24/01/2026 14:25

VanessaSanessa · 24/01/2026 10:53

I don't understand American social circles, so I wouldn't have a clue where they fit in.

I would say how the Beckham's make their money etc might be looked down upon, who knows.

I'd guess that's unlikely, since Nelson keeps going on about Nicola being a [quote] World Famous Actress [unquote] and Claudia's an ex-model.

Nelson's wealth is also self-made: all the parents are social upstarts by snob standards on either side of the Atlantic. I believe the Beckhams are better connected - depending on your definitions. Nelson Peltz was close to Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

Lol, “honey” psychology is not only a real thing, it’s also a profession.

I don’t disagree that some people might be embarrassed by their level of interest in the lives of strangers though, however, I don’t think anyone needs to hide that, just own it :)

My main point has been overlooked because the joke I made was taken to heart.

I think we’ve all “owned it” though haven’t we? That’s the point, no one else is denying they’re here from a purely lighthearted standpoint.

You’re the only one here trying to come across as superior to all us gossip hounds? But instead just coming across like a pompous, tone deaf so and so.

It’s a real shame some people feel the need to come on lighthearted threads and try to bring the mood down and insult other posters.

Maybe ask yourself why - from a psychological perspective - that might be?

You seem to have missed my point. I know you’ve all owned it.

If you’re going to make statements at least ensure they’re accurate.

I understand my own behaviour otherwise I would reflect on it. I don’t like it when people make assumptions about strangers. I don’t like it when those opinions are aired publicly and are mostly negative and aimed at one person, in this case, NP. Celebrity or not it’s bullying. I don’t find an onslaught of attacks to be lighthearted. And before you come at me, no, I haven’t read many of these comments but I have read comments elsewhere and the overall consensus is that NP is manipulative and she’s after this and doing that and she’s apparently she’s toxic and narcissistic etc. I just can’t comprehend how people can all attack a person they have never met over a situation they’re not personally involved in. Although I’m not particularly invested in the lives of these people I am interested in the reaction people have to it.

A bit of gossip is fine but this situation has gone past that.

Also, I enjoy a debate but there’s always someone who goes too far and starts name-calling. I can hardly be insulted by “pompous” though.

This is a very unfair and untrue positioning of what I said.

If partying is all they do in Mar a Lago then yes, it may well be fun.

But if arms dealers, tyrants, corruptors and corrupted get unfettered access to the President of the United States just because they have money, we should really worry.

This is why Trump takes so much of his entertainment to Mar a Lago - it is unsupervised. In the White House there are some checks at least.

Re the Beckhams and Peltz - my original post here was to clear up what seemed to be a little confusion re Palm Beach, the social hierarchy, and the geography of what is where.

The mysogny is absolutely astounding.

It also proves, to me, Brooklyn Beckhams point entirely.

How V&D Beckham have not issued a statement, asking people to step back a bit, blows my mind.

I suppose Beckham parental love has limits.

I think you’re taking it all a bit too seriously. These people live their lives in the public eye. They want the attention- they crave it. It’s their raison d’etre in life.

They all have enough money to go and live their lives in peace away from the public eye. They don’t want that.

BB could’ve gone and quietly enjoyed his new uncontrolled life and his billions. VB & DB could’ve done the same, a long long time ago and kept their innocent kids out of the public eye.

Note that none of the other spice girls/England footballers have this level of fame. I couldn’t tell you what any of their dcs names are or anything much about them.

If people are upset by the speculation they should maybe stay away from gossip threads about it as it will trigger them - on a thread about the Beckham drama it’s par for the course that people will make assumptions and talk nonsense.

And yes, the women will always be blamed - we’ve established that depressing fact.

People are laughing about the dance but from what I’ve seen there’s been a lot more hate on NP. I’ve seen so much support for VB. I’m not against the support she’s getting, just against the ridiculous hostility towards NP and BB.
