AIBU to be turned off by unwashed hands and a small package?

I've recently been dating again after a bad experience and long break. I have known this person years and we have chatted quite often so the familiarity is there. 2 things: he has a very small package and the whole thing was just very awkward and it didn't really work. And after a random conversation it turns out that he doesn't wash his hands after going to the toilet (both a wee and poo). I'm really fussy with cleanliness and to me that is very basic hygiene.

AIBU to do a 180 turn on the whole thing? He is trying to make plans to see me this weekend as we speak. My friend says give it another meet up and see as sex is always very awkward at first but it's the hand washing thing aswell.

Is it 4”flaccid? If so, it’s not that small.

No, when fully hard.

We were talking about our typical type of partner we go for, I said mine and I added but one thing that majorly puts me off is people who don't wash their hands after going to the toilet. He then said that he doesn't, why he doesn't and why it isn't an issue. I feel I need to find out from a man straight away from now on and check that they do!

Maybe he’s trying to get rid of you OP. Seems strange to own up to not hand washing AFTER you’d said it was a turn off. In any case, it’s a no from me. He’s a dirty boy. I don’t think I’d even want him as a friend.

I actually do not believe that someone would openly admit, in casual conversation with someone they wish to have regular sex with, that they never wash their hands after taking a shit?!

Even if they, for whatever reason, chose not to (the mind boggles) what could they possibly gain from announcing it to a potential love interest?!

So if this is true, obviously you never touch him again. But again I'm sceptical.

He genuinely thought there was no issue whatsoever with not doing it which is why I think he didn't mind admitting it.

She could put it on her dating profile: not interested in men that don't wash their hands after the toilet !

Yes! 😂 would the ones who don't just lie though?

That is deeply disconcerting. Tiny willy, filthy shite stained hands.

What a catch!

Have you tried Amazon Prime? I had a very clean looking delivery driver with a massive package for me. Polite too, smile and called me love and closed the gate.

That would be easier but he's currently badgering me trying to make plans with me this weekend.

The small anatomy wouldn't bother me but the unwashed hands would lead to me instantly dumping him - and maybe not in person either. It's not only unhygienic but also grossly ignorant and disrespectful to everyone else.

Plans for the weekend? No way. Just tell him he's a dirty pig and you don't want to be anywhere near him.

StopBothering · 16/01/2026 17:37

These men.

Unbelievable.

Do they honestly think women do not care if they take a shit and don't wash their hands? I don't think I know any woman who wouldn't find this a deal breaker. FFS. They really do not care about our comfort, and a lot of them don't wipe their backsides properly either.

OP, the last man I was involved with would take a huge, stinking, messy shit that covered the inside of my toilet bowl and leave it there - assuming I would be cleaning it off. His own bathroom was utterly revolting.

It was a very short involvement, and it's one of the MANY reasons I refuse to date anymore.

I'm tempted to say tell the twat that the no handwashing is foul and you won't be seeing him again. That said, he probably won't change for the next woman; it will probably mean he'll just lie to whoever he is next involved with if they also ask, or mention hand washing. They don't care.

EnjoyingTheArmoire · 16/01/2026 17:37

So did you have sex with him AFTER learning of his turd germ laden fingers?

hihelenhi · 16/01/2026 17:38

Yeah, no. I'm a scumbageroo, but would ALWAYS wash my hands, and no, someone not doing so (and almost proudly) is not something you will ever be able to get past. Nor should you. Yuck! Physical revulsion is just that.

Oh, and when you add the micropenis to that (yes, I know, not his fault) that would be a massive no-no. Definitely don't settle for this.

333FionaG · 16/01/2026 17:41

When you tell him you don't want to date him, tell him to wash his sodding hands after using the toilet, the dirty pig.

Maddy70 · 16/01/2026 17:41

Hand hygiene is the most important.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 16/01/2026 17:42

What are his attributes lol? Honestly just reading that would give 99.9% of women the ick. Throw it back.

Edited

It has put me right off dating aswell as I'd have to ask the next one from the off about it. Absolutely gross! I imagine that's the type of this this one would do.

No the conversation was after the awkward sex! 🤢

I was going to go with the polite explanation of only wanting to be friends but I'm so tempted to add in the hand washing! I won't mention the small package.

Surely most people do wash their hands as a matter of course?

(Mind you, I was in an airport toilet once, and A Famous Person - female - was in there too and I noted she didn't wash her hands and I was like "ew! Who'd have thought that of her? Filthy!" So I guess you never know)

But yeah, it's grim and not something I could get past either. And I say that as an absolute grub.

Yeah, it just feels like too much effort to make sure the basics are ticked, doesn't it? Like dealing with a child. Do you wash your hands when you use the toilet? Do you clean your bathroom regularly (and properly)? Do you clean your arsehole every day in the shower and wipe it properly when you take a poo? Do you shower every day (oh god, I've met men for first dates thank stink to high fucking heaven)? Do you clean your dick properly because smegma is not my idea of hot sex?

It's embarrassing to have to ask - but if we date I absolutely think women need to be asking all these questions and then really being alert to whether or not their hygiene is up to standard. It's the basics and they can't even get this right. I despair!

MayBeee · 16/01/2026 17:49

If he doesn't wash his hands very often , then I would also worry about other body parts ! Yuk .

Myfridgeiscool · 16/01/2026 17:49

His shitty little hands would be coming nowhere near me! Feel sick just thinking about his germ laden hands on my skin.
I'd not be able to get past this OP. Next!

His 'package'........😂

You mean his PENIS is small I presume? Well if it isn't big enough to satisfy you then why try again, it won't have grown since you last had sex.

When I read the subject line, all I could think of was whether he was Yodel or Evri.
