To believe there will be no justice fo Renee Good under the Trump administration

Nodramalama85 · 13/01/2026 18:23

Renee Good and the way the American government has responded. The broader shift toward more aggressive ICE operations and federal enforcement under the Trump administration is clearly influencing this response. Surely there should be more demand for accountability, transparency, and a government that protects all its people—not just those enforcing the law.

Am I being unreasonable to want justice for Reneee and to be concerned about the broader implications? Surely this sets a precedent for aggressive, potentinally leathal enforcement, even in communities not typically associated with immigration enforcement. Is America moving towards authoritarian practices? Under Trump is this a surprise?

The footage shows that the car clipped him and it shows that she only changed direction after he drew his gun.
I think she was in fight or flight mode, and panicked. I think the ICE officer also panicked and overreacted.

Earlier footage shows she was parked perpendicular on the road blasting her horn trying to impede ICE from the arrest

Except to my eyes the footage very clearly doesn’t show that. I’ve explained it above.

The gun was irrelevant to her change of direction. In his own phone footage you can see her turning the wheel away from him as soon as the brakes from reversing. She’s clearly executing a manoeuvre. He draws it when she’s moving and is already committed to the turn.

She did hit him though? There’s footage on CNN of her driving into him and carrying him forward a short distance, which is aiui when the shots are fired.

Have I got that wrong? It seems to pretty clearly make it self-defence (or possibly defence of someone else if the person being hit isn’t the shooter). It’s probably not even an excessive use of force.

Yes, you o have that wrong. The close up footage shows no impact between the car and the murderer. Footage from further away shows a potential that ge may have been nudged.

There us no footage that shows him being hit by the car and carried because that didn't happen.

There's video evidence from several different angles, showing her accelerating her car directly at him. The officer had been hospitalised several weeks before from a similar incident from a member of one the groups targeting ICE.

No, no there isn't because this didn't happen.

oscalo · 14/01/2026 14:23

Sadly, it doesn't matter who believes what here. The die is cast, the word is out, and that's that. No one in the Trump Admin is going to turn on their narrative. And this will be forgotten about very soon, because nothing will change it now.

Unless the people rise up and the forces refuse orders, that's it folks.

We are wasting precious time debating this. No one in Government is listening to any theory other than the official one.

39 seconds in he’s knocked to the side (he’s the man who’s partially obscured by the man at the driver’s window), and then at 52 seconds he’s lifted onto the bonnet and carried for a few feet.

Am I wrong about any of this? If these are the same incident, and he was the shooter, then they clearly show her hitting him. If not, she’s hitting someone else.

Yes you are wrong. Nobody is it and carried.

You keep asking the same question. Yes you are wrong. He was not hit and carried. Its questionable if he was even bumped.

He definitely chose to execute someone at close quarters though.

What terrifies me is the way the narrative has been so successfully manipulated on social media.
Within hours, this young mom was labelled a domestic terrorist, an abuser, a failed mother who had to give up her kids and all the other perjoratives that people throw at the ‘woke’. And people have swallowed it. There will be no justice for her because enough people now believe she was a threat who is best off dead and our attention has moved elsewhere. How chilling is that- she could be any one of us.
Its totally Orwellian.

No she couldn’t. I have enough sense not to leave my children to go and obstruct legal processes.

PhuckTrump · 14/01/2026 14:28

Don’t believe your lying eyes. Trump very clearly told us that Jonathan Ross is in hospital and lucky to be alive.

She wasn't obstructing them, they could have gone around. They chose to stop because they were pissed off at 2 middle aged women, and then one of the pissed off men decided to execute her.

If this is allowed to go unchecked, then it could absolutely happen to you.

She has been killed because of her own foolish actions. She hit that officer with her car and showed total disregard for him. Its awful and it's sad but I don't think he should be punished for her actions that day.

Are you on glue?

Again, no it couldn’t. And I’m not saying it isn’t a tragedy, because it is. It’s awful she’s dead. But her choices that day unfortunately led to those consequences.

No, Jonathan Ross’ choice that day was entirely responsible for those consequences. He pulled the trigger. Three times. The victim blaming here is absolutely appalling.

LlttledrummergirI · 14/01/2026 14:40

Have you seen the footage of the lady trying to get to a doctors appointment being dragged out of her car, or the 17 year old that was kidnapped, assaulted and released a mile from where he was picked up?

If you live in America, you need to get your head out of the sand.

I’ve tried making a gif of the sequence I was talking about. Hopefully it uploads. It certainly looks like he’s been hit, by her, using her car.

I've seen breakdowns made from experts in this. Thank you for your own amateur attempt but I will stick with the breakdowns made by experts. There are plenty of cut and paste videos out there showing fake stuff, I'll stick with reputable sources.

It’s literally a clip from CNN.

LlttledrummergirI · 14/01/2026 15:16

It’s literally a clip from CNN.

Since you like CNN, have you watched their breakdown showing all angles?

You can see what he does. He leans forward to shoot her when she starts moving. He isn’t in the path of the car but he leans right forwards into it and puts himself into touching distance in order to shoot her through the windscreen before shooting again through the window because she was turning past him. If he didn’t lean forward he wouldn’t have been able to shoot her through the windscreen (because he wasn’t in front of her trajectory) and she’d have turned right past him. Her death was completely avoidable, and if they’d let her drive they could have passed her details to local law enforcement or used the other cars to blockade hers and get her out safely if it was necessary, but evidently he thought shooting her was more important than either of their safety.

What exactly do you think your edit shows?

Cell phone footage raises new questions about ICE agent’s tactics before fatal shooting | CNN

The video evidence appears to undermine elements of the government’s narrative of what happened in Minneapolis.

No I didn’t. It just wasn’t relevant seeing he isn’t running the shitshow and paedo-tramp is.
