To wonder if past trauma was a factor in the Renee Nicole Good murder and that, while not absolving agent, it shows ICE should select agents more carefully?

Reading this from the BBC, I wonder if the agent was suffering from previous trauma. They had earlier been in the Iraq War and then had huge number of stitches after being dragged by a car while arresting apparently a 'child sex offender' illicit migrant last March.

Thus I wonder if, because Renee Good clipped them with the car earlier(as The Times indicates), shooting at her car as she drove past was less a rational decision borne from evil and more an instinctive reaction from recent trauma with cars on the job?

This is NOT an excuse. But I wonder if it also shows that ICE are selecting traumatised agents who are too dangerous, due to this, to be in that position?

Person wearing tactical vest leans toward a car with shattered rear window, broken glass visible, trees and houses in background.

ICE agent in Minnesota shooting was dragged by car in June

The officer was injured in a separate case that also involved a car pulling away during an investigation.

Would it surprise you to learn that the NYP is supposedly Donald Trump's favourite paper?

I'm not surprised, it's aimed at the lowest possible intelligence. Once I realised it wasn't satire, I kept it to see what MAGA shit was coming next. It really easy fucking awful.

It’s really the American equivalent of The News of the World, as was - both Murdoch rags.

LlttledrummergirI · 21/01/2026 23:41

I would disagree but I haven't looked at a news of the world in years. Does it even still exist? It reminds me more of the papers in the film men in black where the agents go to look for alien news. Just nastier in the comments.

No, it doesn’t exist anymore.

I've posted this on another thread but I believe that it deserves a wider airing.

Someone pinned to the ground poses absolutely no risk to the agents. So why are they spraying a chemical irritant right into their face?

These ICE agents are just common or garden thugs who enjoy inflicting violence on the public.

Yes, they are out of control. Violent thugs behaving illegally, and doing things like this countless times a day.

Minnesota is a long way from the Mexican border, and there are consequently very few undocumented migrants.

So why have ICE chucked 10% of their entire manpower on this one state?

They can ride intercity buses without IDs and sanctuary cities attracted a lot of them.

The key is that local governments in Minnesota (well, Minneapolis/St Paul) won’t work with ICE, so they need more manpower to track and detain. They’ve set free literal illegal criminals without bothering to inform ICE. Why would you do this?

ICE is operating uncontroversially in my home city/state so they need fewer resources. Maybe just for the bigger worksite raids.

Oh please… you know as well as I do that they don’t want to upset the Republican voters in states like Texas. You know, the ‘I’m alright, Jack’ ones that are fine with other people being brutalised, until it’s them.

Give me a fucking break.

ICE have been abducting citizens, green card holders, and those with valid visas. They don't care, they've got arrest quotas to fill.

Green card holders can have those cards stripped if they commit certain crimes (drug trafficking included) and if they are found to have committed immigration fraud.

Citizens are released if they can prove their status. But someone linked one such story of a detained citizen who couldn’t even speak English (couldn’t communicate to the agents), his brother was actually illegal, and he was at a worksite with other illegal aliens. It’s not hard to understand why he was picked up …. he was released after a couple of hours.

It’s not like the UK where even literal rapists cannot be deported for reasons I cannot begin to understand

That’s not true at all. They are doing a huge operation in both Houston and Dallas right now targeting H1B fraud. But you never heard of it because nobody is down there protesting or obstructing ICE agents.

No. There are always ICE activities going on across the US. But, as I’m sure you actually are aware, what’s happening in Houston and Dallas is nothing like what is being wrought on Minneapolis.

Minneapolis is being targeted with Operation Metro Surge where between 2000 and 3000 ICE agents have been deployed and are terrorising residents,

I’d say nice try, but it was mediocre at best.

Unfortunately you need more agents when you get people trying to obstruct and interfere with ICE operations.

You don’t even bother to look at what is going on in Texas, because there is nobody out trying to obstruct their operations.

Why do you need to follow ICE around, alerting their targets, scream and blow whistles in their faces, use cars to block and obstruct them?

What’s the point of doing that? Would you like it if anti-abortion activists did that to women getting abortions? Cuz they have a sad about teh beybez?

They would (I should hope) be jailed for doing that!!! I honestly see no difference between anti-ICE activists and pro-life activists. Both feel their personal ‘principles’ overrule what’s been decided via democratic processes.

Like, the vast majority of people picked up are illegal aliens, a good amount are literally dangerous criminals.

But you’re like, nah, fuck all that. Look at this sad picture.

No different to those twats flashing dismembered fetus posters in your face.

Fucking obnoxious tbh

The one thing we can agree on is the fucking obnoxious. I’ll leave you to it. I think I need to go and take a shower.

The agitators in Minnesota are the problem not the officers.

Because the local illegals cheerleaders and local plods are opposing them, causing an obstruction so they need more. it's not rocket science is it.

Well, like most of your posts, this is factually incorrect. I do understand that you don't understand things though.

Britain doesn't release criminals early and deport them out of the country to freedom before the end of their sentences, which is what ice appears to have been doing.

That’s not what was happening.

They were being released into the streets under ‘supervised custody’. In Minnesota it’s a requirement to release criminals (even violent criminals and sex offenders) after serving 2/3 of their sentence into a supervised release program.

So they were free already, but you didn’t know that. You don’t read beyond headlines.

He killed her because she belittled and emasculated him. He wasn't prepared to let a woman, a lesbian no less, talk down to him. So he shot her in the face and called her a fucking bitch.

Nope, he killed her because she tried to run him over with her car. It was an act of self-defence.

Yes and it's quite bizarre as in the UK we do infact release prisoners halfway through their sentences where they are released on license or deported (early release scheme).

In fact we often release prisoners accidentally before they should be but that's a different story..

Bullshit.

Thousands of thugs were brought onto the streets of Minneapolis in order to terrorise the population. It's a targetted campaign by Dementia Don to harass his political opponents.

'Bullshit'? Some of you really need to learn how to debate without insults.

'Dementia Don'? You do know Dementia is a terrible disease causing suffering to thousands. To use it in a way to mock others is absolutely appalling.

I repeat Minneapolis need more officers as they have greater support for the illegals including their silly mayor.

Other states that dont support people breaking the law don't.

Given that you ignore all of the evidence placed before you, I'll gladly resort to robust language to call out your lies.

Funny how Magats are so uptight about language, when their god-emperor is so liberal with his. "Quiet piggy".

Dementia is indeed a dreadful illness. Time to put Donald in a home where he belongs. Strictly speaking he belongs in prison along with the 1,500 violent **criminals he pardoned but I'll settle for a home.

The only people breaking the law in Minneapolis are the masked thugs using chemical weapons at children, beating up detainees and abducting citizens. Law and order in the city was just fine before the invasion.

Come one then @Gloriia @RingoJuice , are you going to defend the above excessive use of force? Let's see what you cook up together.

And then there's this, I suppose that you believe the agents' version of events that he "ran into a brick wall while handcuffed". Note that they've been interfering with the work of the medical staff while the patient has life-threatening injuries.

Using robust language is fine. Insults aren't and to use serious medical diseases as a way to mock certainly isn't. It doesn't strengthen your argument, that's all.

I don't 'lie' I disgaree with you.
