Reading this from the BBC, I wonder if the agent was suffering from previous trauma. They had earlier been in the Iraq War and then had huge number of stitches after being dragged by a car while arresting apparently a 'child sex offender' illicit migrant last March.

Thus I wonder if, because Renee Good clipped them with the car earlier(as The Times indicates), shooting at her car as she drove past was less a rational decision borne from evil and more an instinctive reaction from recent trauma with cars on the job?

This is NOT an excuse. But I wonder if it also shows that ICE are selecting traumatised agents who are too dangerous, due to this, to be in that position?

I don't know why they didn't let him bet dressed i wasn't in the house at the time. Perhaps he was resisting arrest? It's common in this country too people are often carted off in their PJs.

As an aside age is irrelevant. Old people can and do break the law. At least he was released and hasn't 'disappeared' or been locked up in the 'nazi' run detention centres some of you apparently have inside knowledge of.

The incident was investigated and appropriate charges brought. It is not comparable to Trump granting immunity to an agent of the state executing a woman without due process.
In the airport incident, no-one was killed, justice will be served.

Actually I do think that they behaved proportionately if you look at the video in the attached bbc link.

The point that I wanted to make was it shows how edited or single source videos can create a misleading narrative.

At the time only the first video showing the police tasering and kicking the man was initially shown which created the false impression of unreasonable police brutality.

However when you look at the second video showing the whole incident then it shows the men attacking the police and imo a reasonable response.

I think this issue is a red herring to divert from the issue. We all know there will be odd occasions where investigation is needed and it maybe wrong doing. In this case there was no investigation with the ICE officer being excused by government with out investigation the message now is they can do what thry like.....and they are doing it. They are acting with violence and against their rules and nobody in power is stopping them, that fuels protests...maybe thats part of the plan the US do seem to love to send the army in and to use the sledgehammer when words would do. Perhaps thats the gun culture.

People getting arrested in their pjs, questioned then returned home, so what! It is not abducted and never seen again is it. Perspective is needed.

Lots of the various posts report the same thing your just cherry picking to make it sound better.

So you feel safe but lots if people including American citizens used to feel safe and your name maybe the only thing that comes up on the files that send ICE to your door.

I feel safe because I have a passport and the correct documents for living in the country that I'm in. It is not rocket science. They can come to my door anytime.

Jonathan Aguilar Garcia is one of the cases that breaks my heart. There are many like it, but the video for this one shows him, a teenager, being taken from his job at Target and (literally) thrown out of the car outside a Walmart. He’s bleeding and crying while bystanders try to look after him. They ask him if he’s OK and he cries no. He’s just a kid really, it’s heartbreaking and there are multiple examples like this.

You have to be pretty evil to not have compassion for these cases.

I used to work with a lovely German lady she broke down in tears one day when she discovered the trueth and what had been hidden when she was in school.
