To wonder if past trauma was a factor in the Renee Nicole Good murder and that, while not absolving agent, it shows ICE should select agents more carefully?

Carla786 · 11/01/2026 20:58

Reading this from the BBC, I wonder if the agent was suffering from previous trauma. They had earlier been in the Iraq War and then had huge number of stitches after being dragged by a car while arresting apparently a 'child sex offender' illicit migrant last March.

Thus I wonder if, because Renee Good clipped them with the car earlier(as The Times indicates), shooting at her car as she drove past was less a rational decision borne from evil and more an instinctive reaction from recent trauma with cars on the job?

This is NOT an excuse. But I wonder if it also shows that ICE are selecting traumatised agents who are too dangerous, due to this, to be in that position?

ICE agent in Minnesota shooting was dragged by car in June

The officer was injured in a separate case that also involved a car pulling away during an investigation.

Any examples you've got in mind?

France?

Just excuses for leftist violence. The
Democrats lost. Their positions are not popular, but you refuse to accept that reality. You think you know better than the actual voting public.

Leftist violence.

Masked armed men shooting women dead and using unchecked violence against their own citizens.

How do you keep a straight face? Unless you’re one of those people that uses the laughing emoji in reaction to the videos of it, of course.

Andouillette · 14/01/2026 23:33

Greenmouldycheese · 12/01/2026 20:14

Again, it really doesn't matter what you think. We've all seen the videos and it's clear to see what happened.

You are making yourself look extremely silly. Over and over again.

Their positions are not popular
Indeed, donald did win the popular vote. Of course, that doesn’t mean the voting public necessarily knows what’s best. Plenty of dictators and brutal, corrupt leaders were voted in democratically. In any case his approval has dropped significantly since the start of his second term.

Hilary won the popular vote first time round so by that reckoning Trump should not have been kn office. So much for US democracy

Your agenda is clear.

America is at a tipping point. ICE is running amok and has been mobilised against citizens, let alone immigrants. There have been clear orders by the government that violence is acceptable. There is endless footage making this abundantly clear. They’re not trying to hide it.

Not making their jobs easy? I should fucking hope not.

People documenting and protesting this is imperative to, quite frankly, preventing full tyranny and you must know this, which leads me to say again, your agenda is clear.

Yep my 'agenda is clear' I support immigrant and customs officers enforcing immigration and customs control. I hope our border control and weak police force takes note.

I do not support agitators getting in their way for the social media fame.

Do you understand that you are supporting a government that by all objective measures has moved away from democracy? In twenty years, will you be proud to tell people that you were in favour of this?

Arguably the request from more than a third of eligible councils in England, the majority of which are Labour controlled, to postpone their elections in May affecting 2.5 million voters is a more clear threat to democracy than what is happening in the US, but I don't see anyone accusing Starmer of moving the UK away from democracy.

Here’s a few: https://www.heritage.org/border-security/commentary/criminals-take-advantage-sanctuary-policies-illegal-immigrants?utm_source=chatgpt.com

The two that stuck out in my mind would be Kate Steinle and Laken Riley. Both would be alive if illegal aliens were handed over by ICE during their initial contact with law enforcement, and their deaths spurred changes in legislation. Only Laken Riley’s version passed Congress though.

This one was really bad, so many chances to save this woman by deporting her shit boyfriend, but Minnesota (yep, Minnesota) authorities never did:

And still, local municipalities find ways to avoid doing this even though they are legally obliged to hand them over to ICE: x.com/billmelugin_/status/2001699796638183756?s=46&t=LHu5hEVEgoG4lIIfMesJGA

That's terrible..those poor women.

It doesn't need to be so Manichaen. One can condemn blue states who withhold criminals and also condemn the way some ICE officers are operating.

It seems the officer, Jonathan Ross, sustained internal bleeding to the torso, but it's not clear how severe. He has since been released from hospital.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ice-officer-who-shot-renee-good-internal-injuries-sources-say/

Look at the photographs of him taken the rest of the day after the shooting lifting heavy boxes and see how plausible a serious injury seems.

The US has invaded another sovereign state, killed civilians there and kidnapped their leader without the approval of congress (one item on a long list) and you think what’s happening in the UK is worse?

Tbh it was one of the things people seemed to appreciate, so much so they wanted him to do the same to Iran (way, way more risky).

If they could have hit Iran smoothly and got the ayatollahs dead/out, it would have probably been positive for Iran tbh. But I wouldn’t want America mired in a long war for that.

Democracy doesn't mean doing things that people who are unaffected approve of, though. Those in favour will still miss the rule of law if it goes or will feel it when things start to happen that affect them. It's strange to see parts of a country that used to be so proud of its constitution and its checks and balances approve as the constitution is completely ignored.

Why does opposing ICE brutality mean you have to support procedures that allowed Laken Riley, Kate Steinle & other women to get assaulted and murdered?

It's possible to see that migration rules need to change without supporting ICE full-throatedly.

Because Laken and the other victims are never mentioned by the left. They’re inconvenient. They’re embarrassing. Look at Corbyn and co - they have never once mentioned the mass rape of girls by predominantly Pakistani men, yet they posted about Gisele Pelicot (who is in France).

You must've see the many, many clips available online that show the hysteria and abuse ICE face every single day. Sadly, the gangs of goady agitators seem to be out to provoke the officers. If they are heavy handed in their response it's because calm requests have failed.

Every clip seems to involve people spitting, shouting fuck you and trying to cause as much disturbance as possible. They know they'll get removed from their vehicles and cuffed indeed this seems to be their purpose, social media fame.

The silly mayor should be calling for widespread calm and instructions to let the officers do their job without obstruction.

So maybe try and condem the murder and assaults of those at the hands of illegals and support officers trying to get rid of perpetrators?!
