It is interesting how far humans will let themselves be abused by bad people.

I was watching a documentary about jonestown the cult.

People seem to keep supporting a person and staying there. Rather than saying "maybe i was wrong and this guy is actually a bad person"

He had ample opportunity to stand somewhere else but he chose to stand at the front-side of her car while she was coming forward from a reverse to turn.

Her wife was shouting "drive baby drive" as an instruction to drive away (which is not a shootable offence.)

We have been over this. Nothing indicates she was intentionally trying to hurt him, and it was his responsibility to put himself somewhere safe and not in front of a moving vehicle.

Well in the UK, careful observation during manoeuvres is expected so you can't just blame the pedestrians for being in the way if you "clip them".

I mean she spoke to him directly so knew he was there - she just didn't care enough to avoid him. Madness.

There's a bit of a knowledge gap here. Probably most of the posters who are so critical of ICE don't know much about the likes of MS-13 and Tren de Aragua and their activities which have caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans, especially poor Americans.

Yes, the agent in this case was in the wrong, in my opinion, but ICE are doing important and necessary work.

I'm not saying she was acting in accordance with the law, I'm saying that there was no reason for him to be stood in that precise position, especially given that she was clearly distracted by the other officer moving quickly towards her from another angle, that he easily could have taken a step back and cleared the car, and that he had no reason to shoot her other than he wanted to.

And he changed position several times after she spoke to him. I actually think the second video is even stronger proof that she probably hadn't taken him into consideration. He circles the car, she's looking at the other officer and trying to get away from him, and then the shooter comes round to the front of the car while she's clearly turning the wheel sharply to the right.

No that's not the case. Firstly despite several posters saying that the correct decision would have been to get out of the vehicle, this does not mean that she deserved to be shot for failing to get out of the vehicle. Just that given that she was surrounded by armed officers then it was the wrong decision to drive off.

Secondly if the poster is in agreement with me and genuinely meaning that no one has said "she deserved it" then instead of "if not deserved it " she would have written "but no one said she deserved it "

The first bullet hole was through the corner of the front windscreen consistent with being clipped by the wing of the car. The next two look to have been through the side screen.

People can do more then walk off when hurt or injured. I once watched an international rugby game where a Welsh player played on for 10 minutes after a clash of heads then had to go off after brain fluid started dripping from. His ear as he had cracked his skull.
Supposedly he went to hospital afterwards although it is not clear he sustained any injuries apart from bruising perhaps.

Having watched the same video Some people choose to believe he called her a bitch because she had defied him. Others believe he was triggered by being hit by a car based on a previous incident.

I have worked in rehab, prisons, social services, and shelters. I have been pushed, threatened, stalked, followed, abused and other lovely things, like having my children ‘mentioned’ in conversations with clients. I HAVE NEVER called one of them a fucking bitch. I would be fired if I had.

That would be bad enough. But to call her it after having shot her three times.

Do people genuinely think it’s normal for public servants to call members of the public fucking bitches doing the course of their work day? It speaks to a level of misogyny and a lack of professionalism that is otherwise amply evident from him shooting an unarmed woman.

I've never sworn when dealing with the public either, - the only exception was when i was in extreme pain/ discomfort...

Seriously? Careful observation during manoeuvres is one thing, trying to get yourself out of a scary situation faced with an ICE guy waving a gun at you is a whole different thing. She probably didn't have her seat belt on properly either.

Not excusing what happened, but ICE deal with the most dangerous gangs on the planet. They are going to be in a state of high alert so should be left to get on with their important work.
