Ice agent shoots a woman in the face part 3

1000 replies

Moontan · 09/01/2026 15:35

Donald Trump has now said its okay to murder a woman. Because they are doing it for people's 'safety'

It is interesting how far humans will let themselves be abused by bad people.

I was watching a documentary about jonestown the cult.

Some people left the cult

They said that the leader beat people, raped people, starved people. He made them do physical labour for many hours a day. He demanded that they give him all of their money.

And yet still hundreds of people followed him.

People seem to keep supporting a person and staying there. Rather than saying "maybe i was wrong and this guy is actually a bad person"

the Somalis

Sounds like they are scapegoating a whole group (quite numerous in Minneapolis) for the actions of a few.

Is Trump cracking down on fraud, tax evasion and dishonesty in general? Seems not. This is more an excuse to go after a minority.

They are In Minneapolis because the Somalis there are stealing billions of taxpayer money. Not hard to understand

That sounds very Trumpian, too. Outrageous claims with no proof that are supposed to justify extreme, aggressive and murderous responses are very much in his playbook. Billions of dollars stolen by the Somali community? You really believe Somalians are stealing billions? He doesn’t actually like proof rather than claims, does he? We are all supposed to just believe everything he says.

'was murdered in cold blood by a misogynist with a gun '

Misogynist? People just keep making stuff up.

This was tragic and avoidable yes, murder no. I've no idea why people are still embarrassing themselves and arguing when the released footage last night proved she wasn't panicking she was laughing, her and her gf seemed to think it was all great fun.

She obstructed armed law enforcement officers then acted in a way perceived to be a threat. The footage is clear.

I agree but I don’t think the threat was at a level where shooting her was justified. It can’t be ‘any threat and we shoot’, or the police would simply be an extermination squad. If she had raised a gun to them, or driven straight at them in a manner which was clearly deliberate and highly dangerous, yes I would agree. But I don’t think this reaches that threshold.

RingoJuice · 10/01/2026 08:09

None of the video evidence shows her driving at him, it all proves she was turning the vehicle away from him, he was not actually run over or hurt, and he shot her three times

She looked straight at him and drove towards him. When she turned the wheel, it oriented the car wheels towards him. You can see this from the back.

Yes, i was prepared to be proven wrong by this new footage.

But what i saw was a woman who was driving away, wheels locked to the right and an angry out of control ICE agent shooting her, she did not hit him and he had the training to shoot a further 2 shots through the driver window... even IF someone believes he shot at the car in the first instance was justified, why did he shoot again when he was now clear of danger?
Then swore at her after shooting her.

It was very sad to see a woman, one minute laughing, the next dead, its chilling that people continually blame her and whataboutery with umbrellas covered in a blanket shouting "shoot me" in an airport.... pathetic.

Bollocks - you are trying to defend the indefensible.

I think you need to look up what number the word billions represents and then ask yourself if you really believe that. And then provide the evidence that makes you believe it.

I’m a moral coward.

I stay far away from protests, bury my head in the sand and hope that someone else will deal with the bad people, so I don’t have to.

Ever since I was a child I’ve been baffled at the people who stand up to tyrants. It gives me such fear.

If I were Rosa Parks I would have given up my seat.
If I were Alexei Navalny I would have kept my mouth shut about Putin
If I were Jamal Khashoggi I’d just have written nice articles about the lovely weather in Saudi Arabia

I stay home. I hope it goes away. But I am deeply grateful that there are people who fight when I can’t and won’t.

However, these threads have made me realise that despite being a coward, I haven’t felt a need to blame the victim, to twist the truth to justify my actions and make me feel better, to convince myself a cold blooded woman hating murderer wasn’t so bad after all.

I’m ashamed that I’m a coward, but at least I have enough courage to feel some shame and to respect people who stand up for others.

RIP Renee

You don't think Trump would let an accusation like this pass do you ?

Expect to see "tons of evidence". That drawn on MS13 tattoo is going to be nothing compared to the evidence he is about to invent discover.

Feeding our Future scam alone amounted to over 250 million dollars and 70 (at last count) co-defendants. That’s before the daycare and autism clinic scams …

Nesbi · 10/01/2026 08:27

Can ordinary Americans see that absolutely nothing around the governments response to this incident or the rhetoric around it is remotely normal for a civilised country with the rule of law?

It’s like watching the incident if it played out in China, or North Korea. The immediate demonisation of the victim, the government going on record to give a narrative that isn’t supported by the video (when what they should be doing is expressing shock and concern and carrying out a full investigation).

Will there be a moment when the scales drop from people’s eyes and they realise that the US has gone fully down the neo-fascist route?

It feels ironic that the gun control crowd always told us that their guns were there to protect US citizens from the overreach of government power, and yet they now live in a society where a heavily militarised ICE is now able to shoot a woman on the street with total impunity. Will they raise any concerns when ICE go door to door checking papers for undesirables to drag away? I guess the unspoken part was that “big government” was actually fine as long as it was bullying and killing people they didn’t like.

It is the perfect illustration of the boiled frog analogy - each step somehow feels not quite bad enough for the full horrific realisation to hit.

Perhaps as Trump seriously pushes the idea of staying in power after the end of his second term (which there is no doubt he will) that will be the moment that denial is no longer an option. But of course it will be spun as him bravely sacrificing his well earned retirement to answer the national need in a moment of great crisis and danger for the US.

To think the US was (justl) proud of its role in fighting fascism in Europe in the Second World War. I don’t think those soldiers would recognise what their country has now become.

Someone asked why ICE were there. It’s because billions of dollars were scammed by Somalis located there. I provided an article detailing what happened. Honestly, the scale is unprecedented and is why Gov Walz resigned. No oversight. Attorney General took kickbacks from the group (he claims he didn’t know! I have doubts)

So, you still stand by “billions,” think all childcare fraud is perpetrated by the Somali community, think that it’s more an immigration issue than a fraud issue, and that fraud is not happening in Republican states?

Do you think that gunning down a woman in a car, driving away from you, is the right thing to do?
The 2nd and 3rd shots where fired AFTER the car had past the agent.

Victim Blaming.... something regular rightwing posters are doing constantly.

US law does state that shooting into a moving vehicle should be avoided at all costs, even when threatened by a driver, actions inc stepping out of the way, he walked in front of the car...

1st Amendment give US citizens the right to protest without being murdered.

SheilaFentiman · 10/01/2026 08:34

I don’t think Renee was directing her car at the ICE agent.

What I do think is that the president, the vice president and the head of homeland security should be saying “this was a tragic incident that should be fully investigated” and not “he was justified, she was a terrorist”

I can’t see either of the Presidents Bush responding as this administration has done

Remember when Trump randomly blamed DEI initiatives in ATC for the Washington helicopter/plane crash before any investigation at all?

@RingoJuice appears to be taking a page from Vance's playbook.

"Frey's opinion on the shooting is... What's your response?"
"Fraud! He committed fraud. It's all fraud."

"Would you agree ICE's training should be looked at?"
"Minnesota committed fraud. We need to investigate the fraud."

"So, I walked outside this morning and noted the sky was blue, would you agree?"
"Fraud! They did fraud."

It's like trying to hold a reasoned debate with a petulant toddler. It doesn't matter if Minnesota officials are suspected of fraud, you cannot go around shooting civilians and then stick your fingers in your ears and start singing la la la when you're asked to justify it.

Unfortunately the fraud is widespread. Columbus Ohio has the second largest population of Somalis and the daycare scams are popping up there as well. Gov DeWine, a Republican, has denied it’s going on, but state legislators are trying to look into it.

You just aren’t hearing about much of this because Ohio authorities are generally cooperative with ICE.

Ok explains why they were there, doesn't explain why is was necessary to fire a further 2 shots into her head AFTER the car had passed him..

Thats assuming he genuinely feared for his life in the first instance.

Like i said, i was happy to reconsider my opinion on seeing the new footage but it shows nothing new.
