Hardly. It’s a mealy looking ring. If the OP had said, we can’t afford more than this, I’d have been magnanimous. With no back story, I’m sticking with poxy. 😂

Yes…perhaps OP posted because she wants honest opinions

Surely she would just speak to friends if she wanted an echo chamber - we are random strangers and don’t have to lie!

or hopefully she would post - I love my ring, just post if you agree with me rather than “what do you think, what’s your option on my ring?”

  • she’s not even getting

shitty it’s other posters that can’t tolerate difference of options and free expression - got to give “classy” responses whatever that means - working? middle? Upper? Upper middle? High? To be valid - what a load of oppressive privilege

Blueuggboots · 26/12/2025 20:40

Do you like it? Doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

Eggcheese · 26/12/2025 20:40

Gazelda · 26/12/2025 20:18

I think it’s beautiful and suits your hand perfectly.

a timeless and elegant style.

i also think there are some unpleasant posts on this thread. OP asked if we like it. There was absolutely no need to imply that OP’s ring is disappointing, too small to be visible, boring etc. a simple “not to my taste” would have been a classier response.

its such a shame how many MNers seem to enjoy belittling others or grabbing every opportunity to make a snide remark.

Edited

This ! Why are people so fucking horrible, just for the sake of it! Lots of bitter people who hate their lives and get some kind of buzz out of being nasty to strangers 😔

Gorgeous. A classic solitaire and it really suits your finger. Congratulations to you both x

Very pretty but I’d like a bigger diamond .

I thought the same thing... but I'm without my glasses on at the mo. A little larger would be nice...

I’m also interested in why ask? Yes it’s lovely as any engagement ring is. I saw someone today got engaged with a seaglass ring set in silver. Their child picked the seaglass from the beach. Each to their own. You’re only going to get upset if you ask for opinions

It's a lovely classic style

SIX PAGES of people telling you they like it or don’t like it or asking you if you like it and you’ve apparently ghosted this thread.

So I’ll refrain from commenting until you come back and explain why you like it or dislike it.

I think that’s fair. Don’t you?

It's lovely. Ignore the tacky classless mares on here.

Silvers11 · 26/12/2025 20:51

I take it you don't like it @EeByGumMum or else you wouldn't be posting asking what us random strangers think?

If you love it, that's what matters. If you don't, then why did you let your partner talk you into it?

EeByGumMum · 26/12/2025 20:57

Thanks everyone 🥰 I love it and chose it myself, there was a choice between this which was £1,200 or one that was over £2k but the diamond was slightly bigger. DP did say I could choose whichever I wanted but I preferred this one. I’d always wanted a plain and simple one rather than anything unusual or very bling!

I really only posted as I don’t have many friends to show it to and I’m not the type to post it on say Facebook or anything!

Similar to mine :)

It's lovely @EeByGumMum. Very classy.

Beautiful ring! Congratulations on your engagement.

Onthemaintrunkline · 26/12/2025 21:09

PS….and why do I love it? It’s very very similar to mine😄 - you have great taste lol.

Peclet · 26/12/2025 21:10

Classic ring. Congratulations!

MistyWitch · 26/12/2025 21:11

Personally I think it’s perfect, I have a very similar one. Classic, elegant, easy to pair with a wedding ring. I’m not a sparkly sparkly person and like quite simple designs. Saying that I love how the brilliant cut catches the light.

Congratulations on your engagement 💕

NoSoupForU · 26/12/2025 21:11

I think its lovely. I don't like ostentatious or blingy jewellery. This would always look classy and nice.

Eyeshadow · 26/12/2025 21:12

Yes I love it!!

You have delicate hands and it doesn’t overwhelm them but it’s not too small either - very elegant.

I am not sure I would pay that amount of money for any ring but if you’re on a decent salary and can afford it then why not.

Congratulations on your engagement OP 💐
Have you booked a date for the wedding or have you been too busy with the engagement and Xmas etc xx

TheWelshposter · 26/12/2025 21:13

Graceful, timeless, elegant. I love it. I know many people who have solitaires and they never go out of style.
