we went today and bought it. What do you think?

Pretty much identical to my engagement ring, though mine is now 38 years old.

Has it moved though - there’s a mark nearer your hand that looks like a ring marking, if that makes sense. Maybe it’s slightly too big?

I really struggled to find a ring I liked, I'm not normally fussy, but I had a clear idea of what I wanted and just couldn't find it anywhere. So we went to a jewellery designer and got a custom one, which was no nore expensive - when we had it valued, it was worth 2k more than we paid for it! I love it. Shame it lives in my drawer as I can't wear it due to being a health professional 😂

With hindsight I think I placed far more importance on it than I should, the marriage is the important bit, rather than the ring.

What you think is what is important, it wouldn't be for me, I prefer yellow gold and would happily pay toward it to get a bigger stone but a stranger's views mean nothing and what you think is what matters ( you will be wearing this for long time (hopefully) so you liking it is very important.
