so there’s a huge dump of data from Epstein files but apparently “nothing newsworthy” apart from a pic of bill clinton in a tub and Andy formerly known as Prince lying on girls knees all with faces blocked out… who is holding these people to account? Where is the citizen oversight of this case and the data- who is looking at the data and what is the rationale for the blacked out faces? YABU this is a court process and it will come good in time, it is normal to have redactions like this YANBU this is not as transparent as a normal process and it is less clear and open than the norm

Faces are redacted to protect the identity of the women and girls in the photos - some of whom may be victims.

But also they are being held to account. Both the media and many, many US politicians - both democrats and republicans - have been asking questions about the extent of the redactions and what files have not yet been relevant why.

It's all been reported if you look.

The government administration have done Trump no favours by instructing the FBI ( thousands of agents working on the files ) to redact and remove any mention of Trump from the Epstein files.
He was best friends with Epstein for years although of course he denies this.
They missed some pictures and released them by mistake then realising this, removed them completely but the file reference shows up as missing now.
Why would an innocent person go to this extreme to remove trace of themselves?
He just looks incredibly guilty to me.

It is now being reported that photos of Trump have been removed from the website since the release.

This is on top of the DOJ already potentially being in contempt of congress. This has the signs of becoming a substantial stand off between Congress and the Executive. To me it looks like it the Trump acolytes will bend the truth to suit them no matter what. Redact victims of course, but it's how victims are defined that matters. The DOJ can say Trump is a victim, and redact as they see fit.

However, Congress will demand redactions are explained. And while I don't think there are bombshells to come, the sheer dishonesty of the Trump executive will be shown for what it is.

I’ve been looking for some reporting beyond the two photos mentioned above but very little of any depth so far… be great to have links as I’m unlikely to be reading the downloads myself - ideally someone would do that for me!!

He looks incredibly guilty to anybody with a single brain cell. There are years and years of photo and video evidence of his connection with epstein, including some emails. Even if he wasn't trying so hard to blatantly hide evidence, it's clear. Wasn't there also testimony from a woman, confirming he raped her as a child?

Trump IS a pedophile and his supporters are happy to support a pedophile.

That's a big statement to make! I hate Trump as much as any sane person but stating as fact that he is a paedophile is ridiculous. You have absolutely no idea. None of us do. Other than against Maxwell and Epstein, there is no concrete evidence that proves any specific person was one of the men that Epstein/Maxwell trafficked girls to.

Interesting that the media is now going out of it's way to state that just because there's photos of people, it does not mean they are guilty of anything yet, in the past, the media have hung, drawn and quartered people with no evidence other than having their photo taken with one of Epstein's victims.

The news networks are not saying he is.

I think Trump has brought a lot of this on himself. He campaigned on releasing the files, blowing his big old dog whistle to his base. He was close to being conspirator in chief. He promised to release them straight away, because Clinton, Gates etc.

Then he did not deliver, he downplayed it, then eventually resisted. It took an act of congress to force his hand, the fracturing of MAGA, and even now his DOJ folk face criminal charges of contempt of congress for withholding.

Trump won’t release anything that incriminates him or any of his cronies. Note the massive emphasis on Clinton. Also Trump can’t be indicted because he changed the constitution so even if a video were released of him sexually assaulting a minor, nothing could be done legally- it would only potentially affect him politically. Having said that, he just shouts fake news and claims everything has been AI generated anyway.

Basically, they will only release whatever keeps Trump happy and will hope it all goes away.

Anyone with half a brain cell and some sort of moral compass already knows how dishonest the Trump executive is, to absolutely no avail.

His supporters are either corrupt, morally bankrupt or downright stupid, sometimes all three.

How coincidental is it that Trump, who was good friends with Epstein and has appeared in other photos with him, doesn't appear in any of these photos? Anything that would embarrass Trump has been redacted and I hope the people who did this end up in jail.
