Feeling financially battered and sad. Can anyone make me feel better?

Post-budget, I’m feeling financially battered, sad, and to be honest, quite jealous and bitter. DH and I are hard workers with decent salaries but have barely anything left after the massive mortgage and nursery fees. It’s looking like we can’t afford a second child.

What little, cheap things pick you up? What have you read lately that makes you feel optimistic?

Yes he can. As long as he still contributes. It’s just less. If his ex can go on to have more children she couldn’t afford without state intervention, why shouldn’t he have what he wants too.

Based on his income and assuming the SC only stay once or twice a week, he’s already paying the minimum. Having another child will not reduce his CM by any meaningful amount for them.

Life isn't all money.Do you and your loved ones enjoy decent health. Are you close as a family. There are always people financially better off than us but there are people les fortunate in financial and other ways.

Last week, on the way home from work, I filled up my wee car with petrol. £45 it came to. This was two days before my wife got paid, and three days before I did. By the time I got home, I had a text message from the bank stating we were overdrawn. It really shouldn't be like this for hardworking people. We've already cut everything back to the bone, and we're still struggling like f#ck. My wife's registered disabled, but still works full time because we can't get by otherwise. Most nights, she can hardly walk for the pain, and I'm in effect her free nighttime carer. We're feeling pretty f#ckin pissed off right now.
