To think there's something really off about this woman?

Sorry for the Daily Fail link, but this is the third video I've seen over as many weeks with this woman acting oddly possessive over Arianna.

AIBU to think her behaviour is off?

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo cause stir with red carpet stunt

The Wicked: For Good co-stars have had multiple 'bizarre' red carpet exchanges when promoting the first Wicked film, with yet another clip now resurfacing.

They do seem kind of 'intertwined,' almost like they're inseperable. And their behaviour/demeanour is a little bit strange. I agree also, that Ariana looks ill. Cynthia doesn't look too perky either. Both attractive young women who seem to have been affected by the fame bestowed upon them.

On the second clip that pops up, they can barely function in those ludicrous dresses! I don't think Cynthia is creepy and narcissistic though @BelatrixLestrange I just think she just really likes Ariana... I think Ariana likes her too. They're just good mates I think! I have no idea why you - or anyone else is calling them 'narcs.' You don't know them, and they seem nice enough to me.

I wish them well. But yes, they don't look very well. I think it's a bit sad that famous women are made to feel that the only way they can be loved, recognised, and famous, (and stay in work) is to be, and stay thin. I remember Kate Winslet, just after she had her first child, she put on 4-5 stone, and she said she HAS to lose it all, or she will not get any more acting work.

I'm not having a go at Cynthia and Ariana by the way (or anyone who is quite thin,) but I don't feel this is how they normally look. And I don't think they're a healthy weight.

YABU! 'This woman' has a name - Cynthia Erivo - and both women are acting strangely. As are you, @BelatrixLestrange 😒.

I agree. And mumsnetters are frequently competitively anorexic on weight loss threads, where 8 stone, size 8 posters chat about their pot belly and being tubby. As if.
It will all come out.
I remember having conversations about the spice girls in the 90’s, with friends who declared that they weren’t underweight and it was just all the dancing they did.
I said that they probably had eating disorders.
It was denied by my friend and by the spice girls.
And years later, at least 3 of the spice girls, Mel C, Geri and Victoria Beckham, have all spoken publicly about their eating disorders.

I actually just finished watching Victoria’s documentary and also the Girlbands Forever one and how their bodies were pulled apart in the media was a total disgrace. No wonder many of them had eating disorders!

A pp jumped down my neck about commenting on women’s bodies, when in the 90s, Victoria was getting weighed on live tv a few months after having a baby. That was disgusting but today in general, I think people hope Ariana and Cynthia are OK and if not, they get some help.

Agree OP. That woman is freakish. I cannot bear her.

And as for Michelle Obama bleating about all the barriers she has faced. It’s incredibly tone deaf. It doesn’t surprise me she’s jumped on the injection bandwagon. She’s a disgrace to my race IMO.

One of the stupidest comments I’ve read on here and that’s saying a lot. If a woman who has degrees from Princeton and Harvard, was a beloved First Lady and a best-selling author is a ‘disgrace to your race’, you must have some deep seated self hatred going on.

PInkyStarfish · 19/11/2025 13:25

Cynthia is her handler keeping a very watchful eye over Ariana. They are all satanists and Ariana has realised too late she cannot leave.

Do you know what Satanist means? There was a very interesting documentary about it on Netflix a few years ago, not sure if it's still on there

Lord knows what you're bleating on about, but as a woman of your race, I am quite proud of Michelle and her achievements pre/during/post office.

You're also as ridiculously freakish as the OP with your 'that woman' nonsense.

The problem is that anorexia tends to have a pretty high mortality rate. At this point it isn’t really a ‘be kind’ situation. They will be both at very high levels of risk and I have no idea how they are both managing the press activity at the moment. I’ve seen a relative very nearly die from anorexia and it isn’t pretty. However, the fact that they are still functioning to a degree does suggest some management is going on.

Exactly that. She has degrees from
the best schools and was the First Lady for god’s sake! And yet she still bleats about perceived injustices. It’s embarrassing. At least own your privilege.

Maybe read a book before commenting. She was a black woman born in the 60s, you don’t think she faced any challenges? Her dad worked at a water plant, her mother was a secretary and she was raised in a small apartment on the South Side of Chicago. She made it out, made it to Princeton and made it to the White House. Considering who we make famous in today’s society, the only thing we should be doing is celebrating a woman like this.

They both sounds absolutely nuts in interviews and incredibly cringe. That being said most of the young "stars" do nowadays. Its complete non sensical nonsense. Like no on speaks like this in real life. The only people that sound like they are remotely from planet earth are celebrities who are 50+

Hannah Montana, was smoking blunts of weed between scenes.

Hannah Montana is a fictional character. I wonder what Bagpuss got up to between scenes! 🤯

Miley Ray Cyrus was heavily addicted to weed as a teenage actress, starring as... drum roll 🥁🥁🥁🥁 Hannah Montana.
Smoking blunts on set.

#MyApologies... I didn't realise that post was hard to understand. 😕

Manchester really impacted on an already fragile Ariana Grande, she is very talented, I'm not a fan but her voice is amazing, unique.
She had bouts of depression, dealing with the stresses of a childhood actress before the tragedy in Manchester, who knows what she went through as a child star, the trauma of Manchester would never leave you.
Hannah Montana, was smoking blunts of weed between scenes.
I hope she gets a lot of rest and tlc to recover.

i always think about the Machester Arena bombings whenever I read or see anything about Ariana Grande, the trauma must have been immense and always be lurking somewhere below the surface. When that fool rushed at her the other day she must have been so scared because she knows that the very worst can happen in a matter of seconds

I saw a video of Ariana on the red carpet saying she’d been to a clinic to have her memory erased….. 🤨

That was a joke. You clearly haven't seen the whole clip or understood the context

I doubt that poster is even a woman let alone a black woman. My eyes rolled so hard they almost got stuck the wrong way round when I read it.

I think you don’t know what information they are aware of. deaths threats, stalkers just crazy people think if they are aware of these things in the background think that may alter they’re behaviour I know it would change mine. Think most people are commenting through the experience of normal lives but think their lives are very different who knows how you would behave in the same situation.

Can you answer why these kinds of threads are always started about black women?

There was a similar nasty thread about Jodie Turner Smith. Another black woman who did absolutely nothing wrong but was roundly ridiculed.

Erivo. And yes, award-winning actress and vocal powerhouse Cynthia Erivo must be jealous of her co-star 🙄

Yes, I don’t sense jealousy. I pick up on the weirdness, though. From both of them. It must be so weird to experience what they are both experiencing - worldwide fame and adulation; a sudden increase in the bank balance. This must be especially true for Erivo who is a girl from London who now has this massive bank balance and accolade.
