Thats it really, the BBC lied to us, all of us.

They edited a Trump speech to make him look like he said something he did not.

They pushed one side of the transgender debate relentlessly, deliberately hiding negative stories on detransitioners, the US WPATH file and thousands of more cases

https://archive.ph/wWdMS

https://archive.ph/uiEKW

They have cancelled people for wrong-think at every opportunity, pushed drag queens over women, turned woman hours into mens hour, constantly attacked anyone who does not share their extreme liberal left wing views and kept them off the news cycle

They have utterly and completely lost all trust, they ARE biased they DON'T give balance in the news

Everyone thought it was a conspiracy, now we know it's actually true and we have PROOF

Today the BBC Director and News Director have both quit in absolute disgrace.

It is time the BBC was consigned to the dustbin because we are never getting back to the BBC I loved and trusted, the one that ran programmes to inform and entertain and educate, that BBC is long gone.

Replace it, completely.

I don't want the BBC canceled. I want it properly funded so that these mistakes don't happen.

I absolutely agree. They are not fit for purpose. Same as the nhs management structure that the have endorsed.

Possibly bolstered is a better word. The Sandi Peggy and the Darlington nurses trial those and other awful situations in the NHS have not been covered by the BBC in the way they should have. For this reason - in my view - get rid of the lot of them. They are mysogynisic nasty stupid and (probably rascist) i agree on equal opportunities for all including people of all races. I just don’t agree with opportunities for deviant males in women’s loos, prisons, changing rooms, sports, etc……

Two people being fired isn’t harsh it’s not enough. All 20,000 should go. All of them. The BBC is not fit for purpose.

Agree, all BBC employees should be put in pillories so we can throw stuff at them. After a few hours, we could the finish them off with stones. Maybe they would learn then.

I agree apart from martine croxalle she was pilloried by bbc for grimacing at pregnant people. I think as she does it should be pregnant women - don’t you?

Do you want to throw stones at her like the fing bbc does?

Namechanged999999 · 09/11/2025 23:17

I know it isn’t all of them but why don’t the ones that agree that it is madness speak up?

Sarah9967 · 09/11/2025 23:19

How or why is this a conversation on mumsnet?

Because they don't want to lose their cushy, well-paid jobs?

Namechanged999999 · 09/11/2025 23:19

This is actually the right side of history. And an absolute horrendous crime has taken place. Those young transgender people have been betrayed. The old male transgenders. Well. Whatever.

Reubener · 09/11/2025 23:19

YANBU OP, their absolute arrogance sickens me. One let down after another and not something I'm willing to pay for.

BBC? I'm out.

Is this the default answer to all failure? Just give the more money.

you think the BBC is a woke cesspit because it doesn’t have enough money?

It’s definitely not lack of money. It’s lack of something. I think total failure from the top. They put up with Saville, friend of KC. There is something going on that needs to be investigated. There is this total trans agenda. Mysogynistic thing going on. Needs a journalist to investigate. Oh wait - it’s the BBC top echelons of British society. Who on earth could investigate that. I sure don’t know.

I think the BBC has been under systematic attack from right wing politicians and right wing press (owned by the very wealthy) who don't want an independent broadcaster which holds them to account. There has been successive cuts to the BBC, with the expectation that output remains the same or increases.

I also don't think it is remotely woke....

How do you feel about bbc reporting on the current employment tribunals where nurses have been harassed in NHS changing rooms by trans identifying males and BBC are barely reporting on it.

By grimacing during a live broadcast, she expressed a personal view, which directly goes against impartiality.

Namechanged999999 · 09/11/2025 23:30

Calling women who are actually left leaning all their lives ‘right wing activists’ because they speak up. Is a right wing ploy.

rightly so.

Namechanged999999 · 09/11/2025 23:32

Tbh - there will be no way to get past the horrendous bias that exists in all areas of society as they are all captured. Pregnant people it is then.

ScholesPanda · 09/11/2025 23:32

I'd be really sorry to see the BBC go. I don't use it that much for news but there's lots I like about it, some of which wouldn't be done commercially.

It provides a lot of funding for the arts, particularly classical music, particularly music that goes beyond 'popular classics' that play on Classic FM and new work.

It also funds a lot of things like nature documentaries that wouldn't be done by commercial broadcasters (I guess climate change deniers don't like them for that though).

They also invest a lot in domestic television programme making, supporting good quality jobs.

I'm opposed to chucking all that in the bin really.

Using the phrase 'pregnant people' isn't impartial as it's a phrase used by those who embrace gender ideology. It's also really clunky as a phrase. Pregnant women is factual.

They could obviously get their heads back out of their arses and go for biological reality then we could all embrace them again. But they obviously can’t.
