The immigration related clown show continues

So now an Algerian national who was released by mistake last week is at large. As if the previous debacle with the Epping forest sex offender wasn’t bad enough.

The fact that we are hearing about this again and again tells us that,
This happens all the time
Foreign national offenders are over represented in crime statistics
Immigration is out of control
People working in Home office, prison service and and every other government department are incompetent and beyond useless.

And these people have the audacity to tell us that they want more of the public’s money in taxes.

At this point, this government (and the previous one) is laughing at us. They are taking the piss out of us. This country is broken and Labour and Tories need to be voted so far into oblivion and out of power that they never get anywhere power, ever again.

An overstayer since 2020, still here, and he was a sex offender to boot. You could not make this shit up.

But of course, the far left Marxist fans of open borders don’t mind.

Why wasn’t he deported under the previous administration? They had 3 years to do it.

Glitchymn1 · 06/11/2025 05:25

Tories caused this, not Labour.

In April 2006, you may recall, Labour’s Home Secretary Charles Clarke offered Blair his resignation because 1,000 foreign national offenders were released at the end of their sentence without being considered for deportation.
It was refused but he was sacked in the reshuffle after the local elections.
History repeating itself?

Why mention Marxists? It was the Tories who vetted him, granted him a visa then didn't know where he was or bother to remove him when it ran out.

Isn’t it the point though that it should be zero.

How is that the point? Someone claimed they’re over represented and apparently they’re not so that poster was correcting them with FACTS.

It should be zero with British nationals too but it’s not as we don’t live in a utopia.

The fact that there is imperfection and deviance in any group of people, doesn’t mean they’re all bad. Plenty of countries have British “ex-pats” (ie immigrants!) and even British tourists who commit crime too.

You’re absolutely right.

The amount of stupidity on show is staggering.

I really worry we are turning more like the US each day. And I say that as someone who visits there regularly and has many loved ones there.

A large part of the population has always been stubbornly and unashamedly ignorant and prejudiced. This is why they jumped on to the Maga hate train so easily. Not a fan of Clinton but she was right to call them deplorables.

There are good things to take from the U.S. but we just seem to take the bad things and run with it.

Not bothered by what nationality a criminal is, nor the colour of their skin. Mad that some people are. I heard the guy was a scorpio, maybe we should print that on the front pages?

Don't know why Lammy, who knew about this release, didn't hammer this home yesterday.
By not asking the Tory question, he looked stupid.

However, why is it a Govt ministers fault if a Prison Officer doesn't do his job? all they can do is set the conditions, they cannot be held responsible for human error.

Apparently, Sunak called the last election when he did, because he knew the Prison System was about to collapse.

I think it’s relevant to mention the lefties.
The Rwanda plan could have been fully implemented had it not been for the bleeding heart lefties scuppering it at every turn

scalt · 06/11/2025 07:14

Is the right-wing Tory-owned media no longer bothered about the cost of living? Oh wait, they never were.

How come 14 years of austerity and cuts have only led to a handful of cock ups like this ?

Why do you lot keep banging on about austerity?
In Covid more money was given out through the furlough scheme than in any other non war time in history. Yes they completely messed up with PPE, but why is that you only talk about austerity?

You hard of thinkers need to decide what the "far left" actually are. Just this week I've been called a Socialist, a Communist and now a Marxist. All very different things, but I doubt you know that as you get your news from Facebook and X

Opposing the deportation fellow humans to a prison camp in a third-world country does not make someone a "lefty."

25% of men in the UK have a criminal record. Should they all be deported - something that used to happen until the 1860s?

Because "Austerity" was a deliberate plan to de-fund public services i order to give tax cuts to the wealthy and to businesses in the misguided belief that this wealth would "trickle down." The government expected volunteers and "big society" to step in.

It didn't work. Instead it resulted in the start of the downward spiral in the quality of public services while the money that should have trickled down was instead stashed away in bank accounts or moved abroad to be invested there.

Any idiot can claim to have "saved" money by not having their car regularly serviced, by not replacing the tyres, not changing the oil and ignoring all of the warning lights - but the inevitable result is that at some point the car will either break down, or even worse crash, as a vital part fails.

Why do the right wing lie? its like the go to option whenever they get found out.

Sunak had a majority of 80 ish MPs, he could have passed whatever law he wanted and changed any he didn't like.

He didn't, instead he called a GE.

Rwanda plan was for 250 in the first year, with max of 5000, across 5 years, so a less than 1% chance of being deported.

No deterrent at all.

The figures for people accidentally released are 266 a year (this figure was cited on BBC Radio 5) so nearly one a day. We just don't hear about the rest of them.

Whats the terrible waste of money during Covid, got to do with Austerity and the under funding of public services?

Do you think the Prison service has been properly funded over the last decade or so?

No, because the right wing media control and set the narrative for all we get to read and hear.

Now it suits them to tell us how bad the prison system is.

Chimaera101 · 06/11/2025 07:53

Calamity Lammy strikes again.

The truly terrible part will come when one of these offenders kills someone.

Must we wait for that before Labour get a grip?
