The immigration related clown show continues

So now an Algerian national who was released by mistake last week is at large. As if the previous debacle with the Epping forest sex offender wasn’t bad enough.

The fact that we are hearing about this again and again tells us that,
This happens all the time
Foreign national offenders are over represented in crime statistics
Immigration is out of control
People working in Home office, prison service and and every other government department are incompetent and beyond useless.

And these people have the audacity to tell us that they want more of the public’s money in taxes.

At this point, this government (and the previous one) is laughing at us. They are taking the piss out of us. This country is broken and Labour and Tories need to be voted so far into oblivion and out of power that they never get anywhere power, ever again.

Threads always turn to the asylum seekers on MN

It is an issue for Labour though. After promising to smash the gangs.

How did Starmer get that wrong?

Well, at least he recently implemented the one in/out out policy.

It’s a start isn’t it?

bemoresloth · 07/11/2025 18:28

Ah well, I shall leave you to it now.

This thread is just turning into another anti immigration and asylum seekers one.

Shame, the crumbling prison system is worh discussing.

It seems to be bringing more chaos

@bemoreslothas you like. If you have more to say on prisoners go for it. I think people have said most of what they wanted to. But if it swings back, fine.

But what’s the point if there are just as many people coming to the UK, I would like most of them to not come unless they are qualified to fill an essential occupation and don’t need financial support

Thanks but once austerity was mentioned it turned to other issues.

The Asylum process mess can also be traced back to the previous government.

The smash the gangs pledge can be traced to this one. If they really can’t get a handle on it it’ll be an issue at the next GE.

Edited

The pledge yes, the broken system, the hotels can not.

What do you mean by broken system?

Hotels - they might get people into barracks by the GE as a way to say they stopped using hotels but that won’t be enough if crossings are up.

Claims backlog, people in limbo for years, hotel contracts, no return deals when we left the EU etc etc.

I will leave you to it now.

Ok I don’t think that will help Labour if they can’t get a handle on crossings. But have a nice evening

I think lots of us know what FLB means.

Feel free to say. No point in trying to insult someone like this.

Who were you talking about then if it wasn't just me? Names please.

Can you not see the irony of you accusing me of being 'holier than thou' 😂
You've arrived on this thread full of self importance, thinking that you have the right to chastise posters for their tone on other threads?

I'm afraid I couldn't care less what you think of my tone, here or elsewhere.

I haven't insulted anyone. I just know what FLB is talking about. Well at least I think so. Maybe I have misunderstood, so will leave it there. The thread has gone way off piste!

I think it sounds like nonsense. Holier than thou to something about veiled insults. It doesn’t even make sense.

I spelt it out earlier for you, as has FLB - plus another poster agrees, maybe the issue is with you?

Anyway you say you don't care... mmm ?

Is this because you didn't like me providing evidence of the prison system getting worse under Labour?

You haven't spelled anything out, and I have no idea why FLB felt the need to get involved at all.
You and I were having a debate, and you came up with some twaddle about me not changing my username. Why on earth do I need to change my username?

I still haven't had the other names from FLB.
