Dd wants to be an artist and is taking part in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year! This was filmed back in Easter during her school holidays and is being aired tomorrow night. It's terrifying! I don’t know the programme but I hope, even if she doesn’t win or whatever, that she (and you!) enjoys the experience of taking part. Even getting that far speaks volumes about her talent.

Blimey, she's brilliant! Good on her. I don't have Sky, but hope that the judges see her incredible talent. I am always low key jealous of people with talent like this - I can write, and quite well too - but I can barely draw a stickman.

Oh I love this show and record it each week as I’m out on Wednesday nights. Ruby is so talented and I’ll cheer her on when I get to watch it. :)

I'll definitely be watching and cheering your Dd on, I love Portrait Artist, so much talent on display, and its particularly good to see contestants of all ages.

I agree it's terrifying when your child is exposed to media.

Her work is superb. I hope she is made to feel comfortable so she can talk about her work.

You are quite talented if you're a writer! Sky Arts is a freeview channel - no. 36, so no need to subscribe to anything to get it. We had to figure out how to watch it, as we never watch live tv!
