Dd wants to be an artist and is taking part in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year! This was filmed back in Easter during her school holidays and is being aired tomorrow night. It's terrifying! So, we haven't seen the programme yet. We were there on the day for filming. I had to be there full-time, as she was only 17. But we hung back quite a bit to give her space, so have no idea what any of the judges or crew asked or what she said! We also don't know what they'll say about her work or what they'll say about her entry. Gah! I know they tend to prefer work that is less traditional. And, yes we will be celebrating. Absolutely!

I’m usually quite “meh” about parents showing their children’s “artistic talents” because parents do tend to be a bit blinkered, but those are amazing! The detail, the shading. Good luck to her xx

It's Channel 11 on my TV. I don't subscribe to anything so I'm very pleased that Sky Arts is on Freeview.
