Dd wants to be an artist and is taking part in Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year! This was filmed back in Easter during her school holidays and is being aired tomorrow night. It's terrifying! Wow 😮 those paintings are incredible! So rare nowadays to see an actual artist who can paint rather than just promote themselves for some (often literal) rubbish they drop in the corner. Bravo to your daughter 👏🏼

I have been to the filming the last 3 years and it's such a great day.

How old was she when you discovered how amazing she is OP. And what was that drawing of? It’s clear she loves capturing the essence of people.

So Sky advertise it as 8pm, but really the schedule shows it being available earlier in the day. We're going to watch it at 8 with friends.

We always thought she was amazing!!!! But in terms of art, she didn't try oils until she was 15 and the first painting she did was 'I love dad and dad loves me'. You can see it on her website. I think we knew then.

@My3dahliasarebloominlovely It was honestly a super day. The whole experience was a bit surreal but the crew were amazing at looking after all the artists and it was pretty exciting.
