It's not so funny for the poor people who work at councils that have become Reform led. I have a couple of family members at Kent Council, the stories I'm hearing are horrific and so stressful for them.

Of course it's a farce. These people had no clue what they were getting into. They honestly thought councils had no money because they were wasting it on funding trans Muslims to punch poppy-sellers or something, not because councils just have naff-all funding. There were no savings to make by 'cutting DEI' or not having Pride flags on town halls; the slightest bit of research would have shown that.

And they would absolutely be no better in government.

I have a friend who works with this type. They have elected power over budgets but no clue about statutory duties of LAs. They keep telling the staff not to undertake duties which they must undertake by law. Fucking idiots. Obviously, plenty are resigning , now that they see that things are more complicated than screaming about stopping boats.
