To think ‘most people’ don’t get their windows cleaned this often?

Disagreement in our house today. Do ‘most people’ (which after some discussion was pinned down to people in 30s/40s in eg 3 bed semi with a kid or two 😅) have their windows cleaned every 6-8 weeks?

YABU - of course they do
YANBU - definitely not ‘most’

Never had a window cleaner. They get done when we think about it. Probably about twice a year.

Monthly here. I think others in the street miggt get there's done fortnightly.

22 years in this house. Never had them cleaned.

Mine are done once every 8 weeks

Ours our done every other month so 8 weeks sounds right to me.

I do ours about once every year or two, or when a bird craps on them. And to answer the question in the OP: I'm pretty confident that ''most people" don't get their windows cleaned at all, still less 6+ times a year.

Outside is monthly - have a lovely young man do then for £40

Inside is when I CBA….think that evens it out a bit

Mine are cleaned every 4 weeks

40s, 3 bed semi, kids - windows cleaned every 8 weeks.

I do them once or twice a year unless they really annoy me. I hate the random terror of a window cleaner popping up.

Coming up to 8yrs in our house without having the windowd cleaned (or DIY',ing it), and most neighbours seem to DIY.

Previously lived in a different area of the same town and had a monthly window cleaner - old fashioned little old man with a ladder and a bucket.

Only took him on because it was "expected".

We have lived for for 8 years, never cleaned the outside of the windows . They look ok to me, the rain washes dirt away.

Never had the windows cleaned and probably never will.

I’ve lived in my house over a year and never had the windows cleaned, inside or out. Honestly they look fine!

I think once you sign up to a window cleaner 6-8 weeks is normal because you are on their list/schedule and they ll remind you, if you do them yourself it could be a lot less often - or weekly if you are someone that needs to have things super clean always

There are some proper chimneys round here, so they can get filthy. I tend to do the downstairs ones 2 or 3 times a year. Usually when I'm avoiding something else. Do the inside a little more often. But but not much.

Our front ones are done every 4/5 weeks and the back ones only when I catch the window cleaner and ask him! So probably only twice a year.

Whenever the bloke turns up, which is monthlyish.

Bought my house 3 years ago and haven’t cleaned them once….they actually don’t look too bad !
