To think that Brooklyn Beckham

Is one spoilt entitled brat who has broken his parents hearts, not that I am a great fan of the Beckhams, at least they have worked all their lives and would not betray their parents!

OP posts:
Briantheguitargod · 28/08/2025 12:13

not all Gordon Ramseys children have stayed out of the limelight, Tilly?

GreenFlag · 28/08/2025 12:21

The problem is he married up. She looks down on his family. He should have married someone from Love Island who saw a 5 pages spread in OK Magazine as aspirational.

I have always thought D&V are just a couple of plonkers. (They have irritated me from day one!) Yes, he was talented at football, but I don't think he is intelligent. Yes she was lucky enough to be the one picked to be part of a pop group, luck pure luck because she ain't got a voice.

Now she has a propped up fashion business.

But in all of this, what idiots to expose their children so relentlessly for so long. They reap what they sow. Why did they do it? Just for money I s'pose.

Someone said the other two sons have careers that have worked...one in football and one modelling. Is that correct?

It depends whst you mean by a successful career in football,Romeo played for inter Miami ,a team part owned by David Beckham and didn't exactly set the football world on fire he was then loaned to Brentford B team for six months and was a substitute for most of that time
He's now trying to be a model

x2boys · 28/08/2025 12:26

Oh and apparently Cruz is working with song writer ,s he's apparently trying to launch a music career so watch this space.....

HarrietBond · 28/08/2025 12:29

Given that all the Beckham boys appeared to be guided (at least, pushed at worst) into careers that will only work if you have talent, I feel very sorry for them. For all the nepobaby unhappiness and the undeniable leg up it gives, it's almost impossible to succeed in sports/arts/creativity if you don't also have the basic ability. Most of us wouldn't be able to make our names in any of these areas! And they are failing in full sight.

x2boys · 28/08/2025 12:02

I don't know anything about his personality but I blame his parents for thrusting him into the limelight
They can't just accept their kids are just ordinary they have to make out they are talented in some way
It's like they might express in an interest in something and the next thing you know it's reported thst they are next big thing in Photography, cooking etc
Rather thsn just allowing them to develop any talents they might have
Like with Brooklyns short Photography career instead of letting him quietly get on with it he had an exhibition and released a book of his " photographs "
Maybe he would never have made it anyway but it just made a laughing stock of him.

How did he get to Parsons? There’s been a lot of controversy about American College admissions so presumably he had the right qualifications?

It feels like this has been entirely (?) their choice, perhaps that’s the difference?

CloudPop · 28/08/2025 12:44

Ballardz · 27/08/2025 21:35

You have no idea what’s happened. Just because the Beckhams put on a public front of being a happy and close family, we cannot know for sure that it’s genuine and not just an act.

It’s not at all unusual for someone to realise their own family is toxic once they get to know a more normal family.

Not sure her family is “normal”

BadDinner · 28/08/2025 12:45

RainbowBagels · 28/08/2025 12:12

I think this is why they should be protected, and their parents should surely know this more than anyone, as they live that life. The Beckhams did nothing to protect their kids, brought them up with the expectation that they would just be handed everything on a plate because they were 'Brand Beckham' afforded them no privacy and have now been surprised when they have 4 kids who seemingly don't know what they want to do or have any aptitude for. Instead of paying for Brooklyn to go to art school to learn photography or paying for him to go to culinary school to learn how to cook they have paid for him to print a book of his crappy photos. He has then thrown it all back in their faces because they have not equipped him with any life skills at all and he's made himself a global laughing stock.

Edited

I mean he can take himself to culinary school.

He can now buy very good top of the range digital cameras and take classes in photography by some of the world's best, and travel to the most scenic and atmospheric places on earth.

He's not relegated to a Skill Share, MasterClass, or Craftsy subscription like so many other people are is he?

It's the lack of self directed inquisitiveness that is keeping him back now. If money cannot at least be used for your intellectual and emotional betterment of what use is it?

He can blame his parents for exposing him to the media as a child and possible casual educational neglect

But he's responsible for where he is now, and he has on the face of it a good marriage.

Didn’t she decide to as an older teen or adult.

None of them were showcased as babies to the world to watch them grow up.

True, his in laws make his folks look like impoverished losers!

Does he ?not saying it's true but his parents are very well known and wealthy its not beyinf the realms of possibilities that they could have made a considerable donation ,to "buy " his place
Bit even if he did have the qualifications he didn't make a go of it did he?

She's still got a degree behind her. Psychology from the University of Nottingham. She also does a lot for mental health awareness I believe

He’s very dopey and gormless isn’t he? He appears to have zero talent in anything. Saying that - if they had categorised his “photography” book as comedy it would have been a best seller. His parents must be embarrassed by him

What was he supposed to do? He wasn’t ever going to get a job down the local chippy so what was his path? He was born and bred by celebrity (who could also be described as dopey and gormless if that’s how you want to play it) pushed into the limelight, and who knows what kind of career guidance he got from parents who have no idea how the real world works for the average young adult?

He is a young man trying to make his way in the world having been failed by his parents, being judged for every move. He’s tried to step away from his family and his parents are whining about it. Worse still, misogynistic media and commentators are blaming his wife, as is always the case in stories like these.

Nobody knows the details of this rift, but one thing is certain, no young person walks away from their family without good reason.

To be fair to Victoria, she is said to be a very astute businesswoman. That tracks as the Brand Beckham thing didn’t happen by accident.

I hardly think he has gotten to know a more “normal “ family! 🤣

MyViewOn · 28/08/2025 13:22

Nobody knows what goes on in a family other than them.

Who knows what BB experienced.

My guess is that his parents did their best. They were worshipped and feted by the media in their twenties and how they behave now in a function of that. VB and DB are no longer ‘normal’ people.

I feel for BB. I bet he has low self-esteem and constant imposter syndrome. And never feels quite good enough. Imagine knowing the ‘world’ is laughing at you.

I would be heartbroken if this happened to my family. I have a very ordinary life and would not trade it for all the yachts or purple thrones in the world.

The Varsity Blues programme shone a light on corruption & a celeb jailed, so I think anyone ‘gaming the system’ would proceed with caution. BB maybe felt he didn’t genuinely belong? Hard to stick at it in that case.

Yes I think that's her talent
She wasent a great singer and im,not sure her designs are all her own work but she's very good at marketing brands and getting her face everywhere,
David waa an exceptional footballer in his day but would he still be as well known now if it wasent for his wife,
Or would he faded more into life of Understated luxury ,who knows?

He went to parsons in 2017 and the programme came out in 2019
None of us no if he had the correct qualifications
But his parents didn't help by paying for a book of his " photographs " to be published and an exhibition, before he had a chance to learn his trade and hone any talent he may of had

at least they have worked all their lives and would not betray their parents!

They pimped out their three sons to build brand Beckham.

David fell out with his Dad for a longtime when the children were small.

Cakeandusername · 28/08/2025 13:58

Brooklyn does get more negativity than other similar age celebrity offspring. Presumably as his profile has been so high as a child as a part of brand Beckham.
Just thinking about Gallagher kids. Anais does photography and a bit of modelling but doesn’t get negative attention. She does have a degree though.

Well look at Stella McCartney, she undoubtedly had a leg up but she did go to St Martins college
I think that's the issue with the Beckham kids none of them have done any proper training or stuck at anything .

This is a really good point.

It's very difficult for them to have a "normal" job.

I disagree with this - slightly more difficult, but not very.

Plenty of celebs have children with normal jobs - Jamie Olivers daughter is training as a nurse. OK so she shared some stuff previously about it which would not have raised even an eyebrow had she been 'Miss Normal from Brighton" but thats a blip not a disaster
