To think that Brooklyn Beckham

Is one spoilt entitled brat who has broken his parents hearts, not that I am a great fan of the Beckhams, at least they have worked all their lives and would not betray their parents!

I don’t like any of the Beckhams but Brooklyn comes across as a spoiled brat

The usual resentment towards success coming out on mn…

Success? 😂 the kid has failed at everything he’s done!

Denim4ever · 27/08/2025 22:00

I also read today that Victoria's brand is on trouble again

Your parents being rich isn’t a success

Tagyoureit · 27/08/2025 22:01

Nepo baby syndrome!!

Grew up wanting for nothing but yet still feels so hard done by and, unfortunately, its playing out in front of the media because of the day and age we live in, everything is online.

Are the Beckham babies any different to any other celeb baby?
North wearing a corset at aged 12?
Blue Ivy being paraded around on her mothers stage?
Nicole Peltz, "actress", has a rich daddy, do you reckon she was subjected to a Harvey Weinstein interview or just ushered through?

In all honesty, why care? It really doesn't concern us mere mortals

WildWensleydale · 27/08/2025 22:02

Nobody knows what has actually gone down but his wife comes across as a total madam and he comes across as weak and obsessive - the 100000 tattoos dedicated to her and her family is unhinged

I do find it worrying that most kids - educated privately or in the state system - work their asses off to get to uni or apprenticeship etc. and Beckhams and Andres just get allowed to stay at their private schools and not do esp well or go to on to uni. I suppose royal family in the 80s with crappy A Level results getting into Cambridge is similarly worrying

You have mentioned private schools twice.
Why?
Children all have different abilities. Some kids, regardless of where they are educated, will never be high achievers.
Surely the aim of any educational institution is to educate their students to meet their full potential. Not everybody has the potential to achieve top scores.

Everyone hates rich people on mn!

It’s not hatred of the rich. More bewilderment that despite all his parents wealth, connections and any number of opportunities, they’ve managed to raise a child so ineffectual, with no apparent purpose in life. He does seem like a big kid still, not an adult man. No ambitions or talents, no skills… whether he’s in the public eye or not, it seems a shame for him that he has no niche in the world yet.

Happyelephants · 27/08/2025 22:07

I feel sorry for his in-laws, imagine being a billionaire and your daughter brings this talentless grifter home.

His parents did seem to have a work ethic, but their kids so far have none at all, and seem dull and dim.

The brand Beckham childhood didn't do them any favours, but to have no skills and no educational attainments after what I'm sure was an expensive education, is such a waste of opportunity.

Yeah I find it bizarre these celeb children are privately educated but not very clever. What do they teach in these schools? My sibling was privately educated but they had pupils from all backgrounds including some celeb children and very poor. They were all very clever. I think some private schools exist because rich people don't want them mixing with the poor but they don't actually care about their education because they've so much money anyway.

what do the other beckham children do?

MsSmartShoes · 27/08/2025 22:09

I don’t know. He probably is spoiled and entitled, poor boy doesn’t seem to be very bright. But we don’t know what the family dynamic is. We know his father cheats on his mother - that’s not a great start.

Marrying him got her name known though. She doesnt need money when daddy has plenty. But she wants to be a famous actress and probably thought he might raise her profile/she’d get more work. How’s that working out? 🤣

blacksax · 27/08/2025 22:12

What has this person done to warrant such character assassination and constant criticism on MN? What possible reason can you have for wanting to do this? There have been so many threads over so many years slagging his parents off, and now he's being targeted instead.

Why? Do you get some sort of perverse kick out of it?

You aren't as clever as your sibling then if you think everyone attending private school is 'very clever'.
All schools, regardless of whether they are state or private, have a mix of children. The role of the educational institution is to bring out their full potential. That will be different for everyone.

I agree.

The saddest thing is there no critical thinking involved. Opinions are garnered from reading celeb gossip and Instagram posts but nobody except those directly involved knows what caused the rift.

He’s a figure in the public eye. He wants people to take an interest in him and his doings. So people who are interested discuss him.

David Beckham was an extremely talented footballer nobody can deny that Victoria found succees in thecl spice Girls despite not really having any talent as a singer but I do think she's good at promoting herself
Non of their children seen to have any discernable talents which in real life us fairly average but not for the Beckhams .

ImGoingUpstairsToTakeOffMyHat · 27/08/2025 21:18

I’ve semi-followed what’s happening and can probably summarise as follows:

One spoilt brat living off mummy and daddy married another spoilt brat living off mummy and daddy. Then, rich people problems happened.

The end.

This!

Serpentstooth · 27/08/2025 22:56

Pp, a private education does not make your child clever but it may make them more confident.

NoSuchThingAsAFreeHoliday · 27/08/2025 23:00

YABU. The fact that he comes across as a fairly useless wet wipe doesn’t mean he is to blame for the breakdown of their relationship. No one knows what their family life is actually like.

Thortour · 27/08/2025 23:01

He's really not very bright. I would say he has some additional needs. His wife is rich, neither have a job and they are really dim. I'm not sure he has a clue what he's doing.

Kicking people when they're down seems to be an MN speciality.

We don't know what happened so there's no reason to assume he is at fault here. Most likely there's blame on both sides but the people I've known to go NC with their parents have usually done so to protect themselves from very toxic relationships.

It's not his fault if he isn't very clever or talented. He has the advantage of wealth so why not try out different things to see if he can find something that works for him?

Imagine growing up with the eyes of the world on you and having no say or choice in the matter. Having a baying mob of paparazzi banging on your car when you're a small child. I watched the Beckham documentary on Netflix and there was some really disturbing stuff. Add in a father who very publicly cheated on his mother. A mother with an eating disorder. And a father with OCD and maybe a bit controlling? I don't think it would have been the most relaxed and happy childhood.

Well no, there are plenty of private schools with very stringent entrance exams, and which will boot you out mid-GCSE if you aren’t on track for 8s/9s, or if you get a SEN diagnosis. Which is explicitly what the parents are paying for.

There may be some private schools aimed at the rich and dim (“nurturing” is the phrase I think), but certainly not a majority.

Grammar schools may take the cream of the crop but generally secondary schools might advise that the school environment isn't the right one for their child if the child is struggling too much which may happen if it is a very academic school. I wouldn't think it is very common though.
Private schools like all other schools can only help children to reach their full potential.
