AIBU to think that no make up and that bob on Pamela Anderson is aging

Just because you obviously only feel you look good if you conform to misogynistic ideas of what a woman should look like, doesn’t mean the Pamela Anderson looks bad with no make up. I think your belief stems from insecurity about how you yourself looks.

It's not actually compulsory for women to prioritise looking a different age than they are. It's ok to just have a particular haircut or clothes because you like them, rather than because they make you look younger.

Why do the people who post these threads never include the picture(s) that they’re referring to? There was one the other day asking what people thought of someone’s new facelift or some such that also had zero pictures.

She looks very polished, great bone structure, botox and perfect eyebrows.
I think she looks fabulous, but just because she doesn't have foundation and mascara, its hardly a natural look.

Blanket statements like ‘long hair makes women look younger’ are just nonsensical.

some women look younger with long hair and some with short.

some women look better with the hair that makes them look older. Looking younger doesn’t always equal looking better.

I’m almost 60. Without makeup and with my mid -long hair left natural and air dried I look younger but I think I look better when my hair is blow dried smooth and I have some makeup on even though I look older.

People can wear whatever they want to wear and look however they want to look. But do I think Pamela looks good at the moment? No. I think she looks pale and washed out.

In the movie she is promoting she looks stunning, but i dont like her natural look right now.

And as another poster said, SJP looks great.

You should listen to her documentary on Netflix. Lovely woman and she talks about why she no longer wears make-up etc. She explains how she was treated as a blonde bimbo in her youth and it’s clear she’s a very intelligent woman and would prefer to be known for her rather than some plastic manufactured facade. I think more women should start to think like that and have more of a fuck it attitude to looks and life and just be happy in their own skin.

I think Pam looks fantastic with and without makeup.
Im sure SJP said in an interview she was anti ‘tweakment’ but admitted she left it too late to start having anything.

Considering Pamela’s experience as a Playboy model and sex tape victim, I can see why she might rebel against the whole bombshell thing and go the other way.

It’s a shame that ageing is still an insult used to towards women. The entertainment industry is especially brutal towards women for this and in an ideal world, we’d start to see women looking their age and not pressured into plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures so they can compete against younger women.

I agree op it IS a hard look for most of us to pull off. Just like her bay watch red bathing suit lifeguard wearing makeup and her getting married in white bikini with captains hat look are impossible to emulate for most. She spent a lot of time with very heavy eye makeup lavish blonde hair and boobs and legs always on full display A full on glamour rock star wife look.

its fine to change your look as you want and as you age but it’s just another look of impossibility for most women.
when I got divorced I kept my marriage name because of her. She was on the show “the view” and was asked by Christie Brinkley a guest host why she was still going by Pamela Anderson Lee and she responded…well I want to match my children’s name. I thought ok if it’s good for PAL it’s good for me and it has been
