I think she looks very ill about to keel over. She needs some makeup.

Excellent question. No one ever seems able to answer it. “That makes you look older” - and? So what?

Indeed. I am 'older' in the sense that I am older than a 22 year old but also younger than a 72 year old. I am delighted to look my age, because the alternative, dying while you're still youthfully smooth-featured and wrinkle-free, is pretty unenviable.

She 100% has had surgical procedures!

Edited

This. That’s why it’s so much bollocks (not from her I stress ) as it’s portrayed as going natural, it’s not ! And fair play to her I’m not judging her , she does what she wants but why do people feel driven to say she’s natural?

Mustbethat · 11/08/2025 16:03

I think she looks very ill about to keel over. She needs some makeup.

So she looks so ill she’s about to keel over.

and you think make up is what’s needed? Not, you know, a doctor?

or are you a doctor able to make such a diagnosis. Do you prescribe make up for all your seriously ill patients? Better to be a good looking corpse right?

either she’s perfectly healthy and you just incorrectly associate no make up with looking ill, or she is actually ill.

either way, it’s a you problem and you’re extremely rude. You need to educate yourself on what sick people actually look like, and the difference between that and normal women with no make up.

she actually looks very healthy. Clear skin, good weight, healthy hair.

I am pale and washed out without make up. Question: what is wrong with being pale? Isn't it the same as saying someone is black? Would you tell someone looks a bit black today and need some make up? No. I am also sick of people telling me you need a tan. No. I Don't. I'm pale and I like my complexion, thank you. Pam looks fabulous, I love her look and I love that she is glowing. You can see that she is in a place where she loves herself, nothing sexier than a woman who is confident and doesen't give a monkeys what others say.

I agree. What's wrong with pale skin?
Men never get scrutinised like this.

Mustbethat · 11/08/2025 16:06

I think this thread shows how extensively we are socialised on appearance.

no make up= ill
pale= washed out.

women can’t look healthy without a full face.

no one ever accuses men of being pale, ill and washed out with no make up. We are just so used to seeing women in full make up- to quote MN “we’ve lost sight of what normal women look like”

TorroFerney · 11/08/2025 16:08

Rowlinginthedeepanddeeper · 10/08/2025 15:19

Hilarious that half of the commenters haven't read the actual body of my post, but hey ho. I don't think I said anywhere that it's awful to look "old," but I'm not sure that many of you virtue-wagers would intentionally choose hairstyles that make you look older. I could be wrong.

The bob and how it's styled could be very 80s nan if you do not have PA's bone structure, and style is mostly what I was thinking.

Yes, the fawning over her would not be happening if she was wrinkly or saggy.

WorriedRelative · 11/08/2025 16:19

I don't like the severe fringe, it is a very harsh look that's difficult to carry off. I think it's too blunt and angular for her features. A similar style looks wonderful on Dawn French, or back in the day on Linda Evangelista.

Pamela looked incredible at the Naked Gun Premier and doing promos with the swept back or side parted hair. Really radiant, happy and natural.

The no make up look can be a big of a shock when we are used to seeing heavy makeup on the red carpet, fair play to her though. I like to see women who are happy to break the rules or defy expectations.

Gloriia · 11/08/2025 16:24

'The bob and how it's styled could be very 80s nan if you do not have PA's bone structure, and style is mostly what I was thinking'

Yes she's very attractive regardless of her age or make up but does have a very unflattering hairstyle, that fringe Shock, it looks like she does it herself.

LlynTegid · 11/08/2025 16:35

Pamela Anderson's appearance is her own business.

What should concern us was her support for Julian Assange, a man who treats women like dirt and should have faced a court on sex offences charges.

NoCommentingFromNowOn · 11/08/2025 16:58

She looks stunning but I do agree that most women would not look as stunning. I won’t look like her in a few years when I’m her age, but I have never looked like her at any age. It’s possible we both looked quite red and wrinkly aged two days old, but since then she has always been fitter, slimmer, better hair, better bone structure and so on. And that’s fine, some people are better looking, others not so much so. It all boils down to personality, kindness, dedication, things like that that anyone can achieve. That’s what is important.

But what I really want to know is why has she suddenly been all over the internet? I know she did Baywatch, I’m vaguely aware she married a rockstar, then decades of her not crossing my path on social media, and now she seems to have exploded everywhere all of a sudden. What happened?

piscofrisco · 11/08/2025 17:04

I like everything about her current look and shirk except her eyebrows which to me make her look a lot older. I know they are 90’s overplucked brows etc but that’s what good nano blading is for. But I’m sure she would say the same about my eyebrows to be fair. Each to their own. If I’d spent half my life being objectified for my boobs and hair I would probably want a drastic style change too. And Liam Neeson seems to like it….

What happened?

she dared show up in public looking natural and confident.

cue judgemental twats crawling out the woodwork with their opinions on how she would look better with make up, she looks ill, old, her eyebrows are wrong, her hair is wrong.

she proved a woman can’t just exist, she has to be constantly improving herself, trying to look younger, or “good for her age”. Everything she does should be aimed at making herself fit societal expectations and conventional ideas of beauty.

she hasn’t kept herself hidden away like women who no longer look like they did in their youth should. middle aged women should be invisible.

so lots of clicks, comments, all drives up revenue for the media and websites so they keep running the pictures and stories.

No she doesn’t. Don’t be ridiculous. No one ever tells a man that they “need” makeup, do they?

summerskyblue · 11/08/2025 18:24

You are proving her point...

She decided to cut down on the make up because she did not want to hide her face anymore and was happy to look her age.

Women it seems are not allowed to age and are conditioned by society to do everything they can to try to appear younger.

She is refusing to buy into that anymore.

I think it is a really healthy attitude.

I believe that we are so used to seeing photoshopped, filtered images from celebrities who have had so many cosmetic procedures that people don't seem to recognise natural faces anymore.

I think she looks healthy and happy and her look matches the life she seems to have built for herself in Canada, more relaxed and away from the Hollywood drama and scrutiny.

Dweetfidilove · 11/08/2025 18:35

She looks amazing and I love it for her.

I also don't mind that it bothers so many women. It was amazing watching the static faced Megyn Kelly having a full meltdown at a woman daring not to wearing make up, while her face refuses to move even under the weight of all her rage 🤭.

This thread reminded me of that.

mondaytosunday · 11/08/2025 19:02

Most women look better with a bit of makeup, and blondes can look a bit washed out. I think Pamela could use a bit and her eyebrows are terrible but if she’s happy then that’s her right.
SJP has very pronounced features plus little body fat. Her jawline looks normal (untouched).

No you think “most women look better with a bit of makeup”.

it’s entirely subjective.

funny how it’s never “most men would look better with a bit of makeup up”. They aren’t thought to look ill, washed out or tired if they forget their under eye concealer and mascara.

society shows us women in full make up and tells us that’s what we should think is beautiful.

i think the vast majority of women look better without makeup up. We just need to relearn what women look like without it.

dogteefs · 11/08/2025 19:20

I like Pam but I dont think she looks good at the moment, no. I find the weird extremes a bit odd to be honest, it seems its either caked on drag makeup or its nothing at all.

She made her living off looking like a barbie doll so I am not quite sure why she suddenly deserves all these accolades now just because she's put the blush down. Lots of women her age dont wear makeup and arent getting congratulated by all and sundry

CoffeeCantata · 11/08/2025 19:44

youreactinglikeafunmum · 10/08/2025 14:40

Dunno why but I find it a bit annoying 😭

Like 'ooo look at how classy i am now that ive ditched the hair extensions and sexy clothes'

That's just me though 😅

I like sjp's look - long hair makes women look younger, imo, and make up can do wonders - i dont think shes had any facial surgery either x

Agree nothing wrong with looking your age, just for clarity. But I assume no one wants to look older than they are?

But I actually disagree about SJP. She’d look better with a short, elfin haircut. I know that mane is her trademark but for me it’s dated and seems to say she’s stuck in a past era.

Really, i love it 😄

100%, no-one wants to look older, as much as ageing is privilege

Horsie · 11/08/2025 20:18

She's very pretty even with no makeup and that awful short fringe. She may have no makeup on, but I think she's had cosmetic surgery, don't forget. Jaw-tightening and whatnot, probably.

The way I see it, she's gone between two extremes. Applied with a trowel and now nothing. Full disclosure: I'm a makeup fan, have loved it since I was a child. Sp, bearing that in mind, IMO she would look best with a middle way. Some subtle light makeup would help her not look so washed-out and would heighten the contrast that's missing as a pale blonde, and her hair would look better in the kind of blonde bob that Cybill Shepherd had. I think she'd look even better than she does now with some light grooming, like many of us pale folk do. (The people I know who never wear makeup are usually the ones who have dark hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows, so they have a ton of natural contrast and don't look like Casper the Ghost when barefaced.)

This feels a bit harsh.

However, I looked at a pic of Pam today and thought her skin looked very "thin" (the best word I can think of to describe it). Like someome who has had a very tight facelift, too many chemical peels, or even very severe eczema.

I don't know whether any of these apply to Pam, but combined with very thin eyebrows, this is why I agree she would potentially look better with some make up.

Additionally, I was baffled why nothing on the Internet mentioned this - for example, is it only me who thinks this? Everything I read says she looks amazing, which she does in her own way. But no more amazing than other women.

An equally harsh sentiment from me, I'm sure.

made me think- why no one wants to look older…

i’m 50. I look 50. But I’m fit and healthy, my body is still strong. I don’t feel my age.

i don’t actually care what age i look. Genuinely. Trying to think about why i would want to look younger. It’s all about other people really and what they think of me.

is it cheerleader syndrome where people want to believe they’re still in their heyday where their looks got them a lot of attention? I don’t want that. I have a low key relaxing life, wear what’s comfortable and looking sexy or attractive just isn’t me.

I find the Botox, fillers and facelift look in an attempt to look young worse than a natural face. You still know what age these people are. Most celebs look good because like Pam they were naturally very pretty anyway with good bone structure.

so why do people care so much about not appearing their age?

PistachioTiramisuLimoncello · 11/08/2025 22:54

Pammy looks fucking awesome! Love her look 💛
