Messaged "celeb" crush and now feel like an idiot

A bit lighthearted. He is a member of a semi- famous indie band. I just replied to his IG story asking about his pet. Nothing at all flirty. I'd had a couple of glasses of wine when I did that. He didn't reply and now I feel like an absolute tit! AIBU to feel like this? He probably gets loads of messages from fans and doesn't really read them so I'm probably BU!

I had a crush on a spurs player in the 70's. Heard he was in an orthopedic hospital with leg injury so truanted from school and rang hospital from phone box and got put through!! I was mortified and we had a silly chat, I wished him well and he let me down v gently 😔. I wouldn't give it another thought, he's only a human being not a god and will probably be a bit chuffed x

I often comment, sometimes I get a response, sometimes I dont, you are way overthinking

If he does get lots of messages, he's not going to laugh at yours. Don't give it another thought. As @cyvguhb says your comment helps him to look popular.

I don't think any celeb would reply to a message from a random person on their Instagram story. He probably doesn't even run his own account.

Damien Lewis liked a comment I made on Facebook a month or two back, I don’t care if it’s his team (and it was in response to a message he had recorded for an event page), I nearly fell off my chair! I’m still beaming now!

I’ve got a business instagram account and I don’t even check the messages from potential customers on there (awful I know) but I just can’t keep up with it! So I really wouldn’t worry as he probably doesn’t get chance to check them and instagram stories are for engagement anyway!
