I think she looks great! I think she can probably still walk into a room and draw attention, perhaps more attention in fact than an averagely pretty younger woman in the same room. I'd certainly notice her.
Catherine Zeta Jones is one of those women who unfairly was gifted the entire package, in my opinion she never was just face-pretty, she also has an attractive bearing and energy. When a woman has that she can be 80 and you still know the woman in question was a knock out in her youth because you can still see it.
When we use the term that a woman is 'loosing her beauty' we are predominantly talking about the overwhelmingly forceful sexually beguiling beauty associated with fertility.
But it's not that a woman 'looses' her beauty. They are often still beautiful. If you measure them more appropriately against women in their age group you see they often haven't actually 'lost' anything and are still beautiful.
It is this ridiculous and totally impossible fantasy that a woman of 50 should still compete with a woman in that peak fertility zone of attractiveness in their 20s/30s that leads to aging women feeling huge pressure to eliminate of all signs of age or desperately trying to prevent it from ever showing. An ultimately futile endeavour. I never used to care but it's been totally shocking to see minor non-celebrity influencers I follow, routinely having fillers under their eyes to vanish circles etc. It even started making me feel insecure. Overall I'm glad I just missed this current train by a couple decades. The pressure is awful.
I now look at beauty over time as a standard, meaning that for me, the most beautiful woman in the room is now often a much older woman whom you can see still has that 'something'
Honestly when you look it at it that way you start seeing so many beautiful older women and you just see them as beautiful without qualification.
I was on the bus the other day, heading into central London. A lady got on the bus, dressed simply in green scrubs. Looked like hospital garb, she had her lanyard round her neck, hair back in a bun. She looked to be in her 60s. She was gorgeous. Beautiful facial structure, lively eyes, elegant poise, only jewelry was a pair of gold studs. She had that intangible 'something'
Besides myself, there were some teens and a few twenty something's on the bus. She eclipsed us all. Unfortunately she got off the bus before my stop and couldn't give her a compliment.
That's not to say I think it's wrong to point out when an actress has had so much work done that they no facially no longer resemble what they used to or it's totally distracting (Meg Ryan...why😩?) But I don't think CZJ fits into that category...yet.
