It’s like drinking a bouquet of flowers 🤢

I do!!!

Crochetandtea · 09/07/2025 13:12

I love it but black with one sugar! It’s not very nice with milk.

AnneLovesGilbert · 09/07/2025 13:12

I do too. You are wrong. If no one liked it they wouldn’t still sell it. Stop wasting it and let the rest of us enjoy it!

dizzydizzydizzy · 09/07/2025 13:12

Oooh..... I love it' I buy Williamson's Earl Grey which is much better than Twinings.

Nametobechanged · 09/07/2025 13:13

I only drink earl grey

Timeforatincture · 09/07/2025 13:13

Love it!

Especially with milk!

Piratejenny99 · 09/07/2025 13:13

YABU, I love it!

NeilDiamondsBlowDry · 09/07/2025 13:13

I love it and can’t drink any other tea as the tannins taste bitter to me. I have found the very best one is ‘from the manor’ but it is very expensive. Co Op is the best out of all the supermarket ones for me. It is so refreshing.

Liondoesntsleepatnight · 09/07/2025 13:14

I am not drunk Earl Grey, as per pp Williamson is the best

StrongandNorthern · 09/07/2025 13:14

Try Lady Grey.
Even better.

NecklessMumster · 09/07/2025 13:14

I only drink earl grey too, it's more tea-y to me 😊

SJM1988 · 09/07/2025 13:14

I love it. Not my everyday tea but when I want to enjoy a cup of tea, or out, or having a treat afternoon tea!

BedlingtonWillow · 09/07/2025 13:14

I like it, as long as it's with lemon, I've never got the appeal of tea (of any kind) with milk. But then, I love rose-flavoured sweets and lavender cake, so I'm obviously not averse to floral flavours.

NeilDiamondsBlowDry · 09/07/2025 13:14

@dizzydizzydizzy i don’t like twinings either

FadedRed · 09/07/2025 13:15

I like Earl Grey, with lemon but not milk, but not the pouncy expensive ‘silk teabag’ brands, which are too heavy on the bergamot. Twinnings or own-brand for me. Lady Grey is even nicer than his Lordship’s though.

FeministUnderTheCatriarchy · 09/07/2025 13:15

I only drink Lady Grey because... feminism 😁

But I dont mind Earl Grey if he's the only option. I prefer them to English Breakfast (puts hardhat on).

But I am a heathen because I love mine milky and sugary 🤣

Edit: I just opened Facebook and a story about someone hating Earl Grey was at the top of my home page. WEIRRD

helpfulperson · 09/07/2025 13:15

Love earl grey tea.

VirginaGirl · 09/07/2025 13:15

I used to think it tasted like someone had spilled their perfume in to my tea.

But boyfriend drinks it so it is now in the house and has grown on me.

I do have milk (goats) in it, though.

angelikacpickles · 09/07/2025 13:16

I like it.

NeilDiamondsBlowDry · 09/07/2025 13:16

@FadedRed Marks and Spencer have yellow oily marks on the teabag there is far too much bergamot in them I find, it’s too unbalanced

Definitelynotme2022 · 09/07/2025 13:16

I used to think the same, but now I actually love it! The only difference is that I'm dairy free (and older!), so drinking herbal and fruit teas may have changed my palate.

GrandHighPoohbah · 09/07/2025 13:17

Love an Earl Grey. I have a Spanish colleague at work who has discovered it since her move to the UK - she calls it Early Grey though. That is my new name for it 😁.

Didshejustsaythatoutloud · 09/07/2025 13:17

I'm with you op, my brother drinks it, nasty stuff bleugh

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 09/07/2025 13:19

It’s like drinking a bouquet of flowers 🤢

If nobody liked it, no-one would make it or sell it, @Ontheedgeofit.

Dh drinks it all the time - it is his preferred tea. We know plenty of other people who like it too.

unsurewhattodoaboutit · 09/07/2025 13:20

I now drink Empress Tea. I don’t drink crappy builders tea.
