Just painted my front door bright yellow and I hate it 😭

Help! I had a moment of madness and decided to paint my front door bright yellow. It was a steely blue/grey before which was fine but I wanted something cheerful. It looks bloody awful and 3 coats in and I can still see the blue through it.

Recently separated so wanted something cheerful and happy in my new house. I hate it! 😱

I like it! My front door is bright pink and I often get compliments from delivery men. And the Jehovah’s Witnesses

It’s gorgeous. Yellow is the best colour. I’d probably paint every room in the house yellow if DH agreed to it. It’s hard to feel down with sunshine on the walls 😁

I've actually just bought a tin of bright yellow spray paint to liven a few things up.

DH's elderly aunt has a red brick house and always paints her front door a bright and cheerful colour. It has been marigold yellow and fushia pink in the past, currently lime green!

I painted mine yellow too but I love it! The first paint I used was from Rustoelum and was much more acid than I wanted, and it didn't stick properly. I bought some Frenchic yellow paint which is much more mellow, chalky yellow and it's given a much better finish which hasn't chipped or scratched at all. The door was a faded red before and has had about 4 coats of paint in total I think.

Sadly yellow doors are ruined for me because a student rental company paints all their doors that colour.
