I was reading about a woman stuck in Turkey. She was there with her partner who was having teeth implants. So they got drunk and she fell against the glasss shower screen in the hotel. And it smashed. So they did a runner. Police chase. Got caught put in jail. Told they owed £15k or else. Sad face. Hmm. Though it does seem very steep for a shower screen.

Not anti psychotic but I was prescribed Metronidazole which is one of the antibiotics you really can’t drink in, they say even avoid mouthwash

my dentist told me this, the dispensing pharmacist told me this, there was a huge sticker on the box and the chief pharmacist phoned me as well

i'm assuming the same controls are in place for the anti psychotic medication she was taking? Did I read her prescription has ran out now?

It could have been far worse, so I say count your blessings. It could have been a turkey stuck in a woman.

Oh for goodness sake, she made a mistake and then compounded it by not admitting it. She isn't the anti-christ. I didnt have a lot of sympathy but after reading her testimonial on the go-fund-me page I realise she is/was very scared. It is unusual for her to have a travel ban and she has been advised that the ban is not legal - it was based on an extra charge of resisting arrest which was dropped after the police admitted that didnt happen. The horrible snobby focus on her bloody teeth and lips is just nasty. She does not know who to trust out there, she has been advised not to pay the 15k as it is too much for the damage caused, solicitor suggested that 3k would be a more realistic figure.

I know Georgia’s family. Yes she’s done something incredibly foolish but she doesn’t deserve what’s happening to her, or the comments on here.

But if I was so scared and didn't know who to trust I'd just pay and get out. Why listen to the solicitor when the hotel have refused the £3k,.what does she expect to happen, she offered it and they said no then what?

Why stay in a country you're scared in when you had the means to go? If I was scared for my safety and desperate to get home to my kid I'd pay no matter how exaggerated the cost if I had the money, which she did til she spent it on hotels and living expenses and trying to illegally leave the country via Greece. She made a load of mistakes and she keeps making them.

I read a report that they had trashed the room as well as smashing the shower screen. The costs will cover loss of revenue while the room is out of action for the repairs to be done. That & cleaning fees as well as the replacement shower screen & anything else damaged. They were 'celebrating' her partner getting new teeth. Anything for a party these days eh! so rock & roll trashing a room (NOT)

Right but she had the money to pay the fine and thus leave the country. But she’s just pissing it away on ‘accommodation’ and refusing to take the steps that would reunite her with her daughter. So I’d say she fully deserves the consequences of those choices, even without considering her initial actions.

The woman says she was having to sell her story to the press because she was desperate. I can’t imagine she was paid much!!

Beyond belief

To be fair, we’ve all given her way more thought and effort than she deserves! You never know maybe they paid her £15K so she can live in hotels, get tattoos and not spend it on going home to her daughter!
