I’ll start - sounds stupid but I am scared of the top stair. As soon as I have started down the stairs I’m fine but it’s just that first step.

Fish. Both fishmonger and aquarium. I know it’s not rational but I cannot be in situations around fish, even if they aren’t touching me.

TokyoSushi · 15/06/2025 22:51

DD has a tiny hamster, he is lovely, I absolutely cannot pick him up, no way, gives me the absolute heebie jeebies!

BrickHare · 15/06/2025 23:04

Murders, rapists, pregnant women’s backs. It just seems like they will topple over and break their back, I know this isn’t rational but it scares me 🤣

Stray hairs

murasaki · 15/06/2025 23:08

Squirrels. One got into the house and we couldn't remove it for two days. I still freak out if one is in the garden.

My MIL is terrified of buttons, especially big ones. She says they make her feel physically sick

Tooty78 · 15/06/2025 23:09

Stairs massive fear of falling down, fluff, hair, moths, butterflies.. I hide my anxiety well!

monktasmic · 15/06/2025 23:11

Rats and mice (it’s their tails) I can’t even look at photos of them.

PizzaSophiaLoren · 15/06/2025 23:11

Going upstairs in the dark. Still have the same childish fear that I’m being chased.

NeilDiamondsBlowDry · 15/06/2025 23:15

Too smart to allow me to successfully get the bastard out of the house. I now never even leave the back door open if I'm going to another room temporarily.

NeilDiamondsBlowDry · 15/06/2025 23:19

@murasaki poor little bobs was probably terrified plus they need to,eat their own body weight every few days (but they don’t weigh much) hope he got out ok

RaraRachael · 15/06/2025 23:21

Going on car journeys. Where I live has a shockingly bad standard of driving and a very high accident rate. Virtually every week there is a serious accident.
I'm a competent driver but I can't cope with the amount of reckless idiots I might encounter

I came on to say moths and butterflies along with wigs and hairpieces. Maybe they're connected? Also chickens.

Broken glass. I try to get someone else to clear it up.
I can’t watch two people carry a large pane of glass 😨

onwardandupwards · 15/06/2025 23:24

Spiders, lifts, the thought of going under ground, heights, roller coasters and daddy long legs!

Two people, a broom, and lots of trauma from me. He took up residence behind a radiator, then a bookcase, he was an absolute arsehat.

NeilDiamondsBlowDry · 15/06/2025 23:27

@murasaki was he okay In the end

Well either him or his relative then attempted throwing themselves at the window, so I think he had a good time and wanted back in.

I did not have a good time.

Enclosed spaces. Those industrial walk in freezers, I fear I could be locked in and die from cold😧

Trees falling on me after they are weakened by storms.
