To ask when your looks started to fade?

Feeling a bit depressed, I split up with my ex a year ago (I’m 35 now) and worrying that he had all my best years and I will never find anybody because I am old.

When I was sad and tired in a horrible marriage. Now I'm 46 and looking amazing because I'm so much happier.

I was 30 at the start of the year and have noticed the lower half of my face just isn't what it used to be, already having botox in my forehead (starting at 27 )but it looks like I'll have to look for some lower face treatments

35? You young whippersnapper, get out there and keep enjoying your youth.

My looks faded when I got lost in an abusive relationship. I was gorgeous at 27. Who wasn't?

Unfortunately he's been in my life ever since as an ex and father to my daughter.

It's only recently that I feel 'good looking' again. I'm 50 now, talk about wasting years!
I don't engage with him at all, no need.
Confidence! He is 10 years older than me and was gaslighting me before it even had a name. I look back 23 years ago to my 27 year old self and I wish I could tell her how fabulous she was.

But... With time, thankfully and hopefully comes acceptance.

You are nowhere near 50.

Enjoy and embrace your 30s, and your 40s.
Treasure yourself and treat yourself kindly. And... Remember you are young! You git 😂

It really is. I look back at photos when I was young and think I’m glad I don’t look like that now.

That’s very young for sagging, usually starts in 50s. Have you just put on some weight?

Hrt will help once it’s properly kicked in 😊

Probably when puberty kicked in 😂 I was quite a pretty child, but after that...... not so much.
Thing is, I am moderately intelligent, which I consider more important, and which also means that I know that looks don't really matter.

I will be 44 next month. I look absolutely stunning! When I look in a mirror, I do think I am so beautiful and especially without make up on. I don’t know if I am looking so beautiful to other people ( and I don’t care either) but I grew confident with age

35 is still very young in my books, I looked fantastic (if I can say so myself).
I think I looked even better than in my early 20s, I was more toned. I am still toned, but I look my age. Sleep deprivation does that

My darling Mum is 93 . I have asked her if l can put her pic on and she laughed and said if course l can . She looks amazing OP . Don't worry about your look fading ever .

I do think I looked way better the past few years than I ever did? When I look at pictures of my 20’s I looked awful so not really sure why this is an issue?

47, a bit. Fine lines etc. But I don’t eat well, drink and I don’t exercise much.
You have your entire life ahead of you! Fresh as a daisy!

Water, exercise and sleep are the main things.

I don’t actually know. Suppose I’m just feeling a bit rubbish that my ex is with somebody a few years younger than me and I am
not even close to a relationship (I don’t want one to be honest) we was together for almost 20 years. I think I am just a bit down in the dumps.

You might need more make-up, or different make-up, and different hair cut and clothes. Sometimes it's little things

This is it.. your looks haven’t changed but he is making you feel like shit from afar. Don’t think younger is better. Maybe he needed someone more immature to match him.
It’s also a shit feeling not being able to do the ones up to him by getting in your own relationship and moving on.. because you don’t want another man! Says it all about how men treat us that we need to heal for so long
Remember you are a kickass woman in your fucking prime and he is a memory to be faded!

yes, my skin isn’t as perfect as it was then, but who cares. I don’t bother with Botox or the like and I still get asked for ID occasionally. I’ve got quite into exercise and I’m a size 8 for the first time since I was in my teens! My kids are grown and I get enough sleep these days. Tbh. I feel like my time has come again!

at 35 I was a bit over weight (not significantly) and probably didn’t feel as good as I do now. Your best years don’t have to be behind you OP.

I was fairly pretty , it was a gradual decline from late thirties. By mid forties I looked middle aged and zero attention from men.

Maybe the issue is that your ex is in the relationship with someone younger and maybe it knocked your confidence down a little bit. I don’t know, I’m just guessing. You also said you felt great last year. I think it’s just an episode you are going through. You will be absolutely fine. I do think our mindset does show on the outside so try to find your confidence again and it will help you to see yourself and in the different light❤️

I doubt HRT will make you look younger, it just relieves the symptoms of menopause.

Another saying that 35 is definitely not old. I suddenly looked much older when I was 47, but I had been suffering from depression and alcoholism. I kicked it and got some cosmetic surgery and felt wonderful!
