Agree so ironic women are insultingly judged as driven by our hormones! Look in the mirror! Pathetic old men leering over our teenage daughters. And spot on about the porn use. Gross.

Bloody hell reading this I can only assume mumsnet is full of single woman men haters I don't think my husband and sons are perfect by any manner of means. But they certainly aren't lazy leery bordering on sexual predators .

I dont think you know what they say or do when you aren't around. When men get together, even the " nice ones" and they have a few drinks or they lose a few quid and it's an entirely different story. I've had " nice" men turn into the foulest rudest misogynistic pricks because their caed declined or wasn't accepted. Because they were told to start behaving themselves, or told to calm down, take their cigarette or vape or drink outside. Individually maybe they are OK. Get a group and the whole safety in numbers thing going on and its an entirely different story.

Perhaps it's the people you're hanging around with because my husband, Dad, Grandad, male friends etc would never act like this.

Then this isn't about them then is it? Like the OP and many others have pointed out, it's not ALL men, but it's MOSTLY men that are the issue.
If men were removed from the world, then the things we could do like go for a walk alone in the woods at night or go for a run along the street without being harassed or worse .

It's not all men, but it is a sizeable majority. A study by the UN found 97% of UK women aged 18-24 reported being sexually harassed. Are we really supposed to believe that a minority of men are harassing almost all women? That's just not statistically feasible.

How do you know they wouldn't though? Someone's husband, Dad, Grandad, male friends etc are doing it, aren't they? I bet some of them even say "my husband, Dad, Grandad, male friends etc would never act like this".

Yeah, you either have manners or you don't. My family are well mannered people (male or female).

It depends how you're brought up in a lot of cases.

I wouldn't say it's a minority either but in the dating market we have, men, for the most part, have to make all the moves. That's not excusing any inappropriate behaviour but men would be kissless virgins if they weren't making moves on women, chatting them up, asking them out, trying to kiss them and so on. Because that's the culture and what they have to do, many will be inappropriate with it.

You have a weird view of 'making moves' if it involves sexual harassment.

Sexual harassment involves unwanted sexual attention such as cat calling, touching and lewd comments.

You can talk to someone or ask them out without unwanted sexual behaviour.

I hate how the majority of them can't find the clit but can find the audacity.
