Also sick of men who resemble a potato with eyes voicing any opinion about a woman’s appearance.

There's plenty of men at school drop off and pick up.

Do you think that in general most women would want to spend more time in the office and less time with their children?

I think women will have a range of opinions on this. Speaking for myself, no. I had a good balance of the two (somehow managing to succeed in my career without staying at work until 9pm!) Overall i enjoyed my work more than I enjoyed childcare. Spending time with one's children isn't always quality time. A lot of it is tedious grunt work. Meal prep, caring for basic needs etc, and the stimulation, adult company and autonomy of the office was immeasurably more pleasant than domestic work.

The fact that the horrors in this world are caused men.

I hate the way the way they barge into good threads and think we’re interested in their shit views. Just fuck off. And yes, don’t feed, ignore.

I'm heartily sick of their porn habits. I hate that every time I go out into public spaces I know I'm surrounded by men who regularly view porn depicting violence and dehumanising of women (and I'm talking mainstream porn here) and I know they view me as a walking set of orifices, not as a human being on the same level of humanity as men.

They disgust me.

And before the trolls come along, yes I know Not-All-Men and women also watch porn. But the majority of regular users are men, and the majority of modern online porn depicts dehumanisation of women.

If you wanna come in here and defend your porn consumption, I'm not gonna engage with your bs. That's ANOTHER thing I'm heartily sick of. Their repeated defence of the indefensible and refusal to acknowledge that porn dehumanises women.

The way they are completely and totally led by their cocks. Totally unable to override it and think rationally until they are middle aged to old. SO led by their biology they just don't have the ability to override. Which is ironic, because it's the very argument patriarchy uses against women. But other than childbirth and menopause, ISN'T actually true about women. Whereas men are controlled by their cock from puberty up until old age.

If they're not lusting after a girl who would be disgusted by them due to their age, they're fighting for power in some area of their life, even if it's just verbally over someone. That pathetic need to dominate or impress. Which is just deadly dull.

The most pleasant men I've ever been around actually seem to care what women think. Don't hog the conversation. Are at times deferential to women. Acknowledge their own faults.

Flinderskleepers · 31/05/2025 11:51

Driving. 99.9% of all the aggressive moves, tailgating, cutting up, no signalling etc are men.

Men should be kept off the road until they can sort themselves out.

(Edited because I can't spell 'off')

5128gap · 31/05/2025 11:52

As perfectly illustrated by this thread - the cohort of unsuccessful, less respected, less powerful (socially, but often physically as well) men, who blame women for the fact that other men have better lives. With a staggering inability to see the wood for the trees, they blame us for their long work hours and poor rewards, for the fact they are overlooked and their bitterness makes them unattractive. They fawn around more powerful men, excusing those who use their power to harm others, excusing them their exploitation and assaults by making women the scapegoat. They spend all this time fighting the enemy they imagine they have, while the real threat that is other men continues without challenge.

Fedupmumofadultsons · 31/05/2025 12:01

Bloody hell reading this I can only assume mumsnet is full of single woman men haters I don't think my husband and sons are perfect by any manner of means. But they certainly aren't lazy leery bordering on sexual predators .

can you mute people at all on Mumsnet? the amount of bollocks I'm having to scroll past to read actual relevant responses to the topic is a pain in the arse

I think you're right in part. I do spend too much time on here. In my real life I know very few men who meet that description, or at least not overtly. Yet on MN it's impossible to have a conversation without finding them all over it.

ToutesetBonne · 31/05/2025 13:03

JMSA · 28/05/2025 19:35

My 19 year old hates men already, and this makes me sad. My ‘not all men’ words fall on deaf ears.
She is disgusted by them on Social Media. Recently she came across some kind of chat where one was bemoaning the fact that his 7 year old daughter is now too old for him.
My 3 daughters didn’t have particularly positive experiences with teenage boys at school either.
I don’t think I can do anything to reverse their opinions.

Sadly there is nothing we can do to change our daughters' opinions of men, as just living alongside men proves all the awful things described in this thread. Only men can make the change, and it suits them not to....

If that's true, it's probably because 1) you married one of the good men (because there are some) and that 2) you're bringing your boys up to be the equal to women.

The constant staring at even the slightest hint of boob. It makes me really uncomfortable, to the point where I now very carefully consider what I am going to wear and often look over tops and dresses I like, if they show cleavage.

Yes! Or adult/older men watching the arses of teenagers walking down the street. Underage girls too.

I was once on a date with a man in his mid-forties. We were walking down the street on a hot summer day behind two young girls who were no more than 15 years old and wearing shorts. He commented on how "lickable" their legs looked. Bleurgh!

Urgh. Rape culture at its finest. And then he'll bleat on later how nice guys can't get a woman and wonder why he's a member of the male loneliness epidemic.

Yep. There absolutely is. And it's grim that some 'females' (just using the term 'women' would suffice btw) are feeding this. This wouldn't be an attractive (money making) option to these women if there wasn't the demand for it. From men.

Pornhub's own statistics show that the most popular search term has been "teen" for at least the past 10 years.

Is it women searching for images and videos of teen boys? No. It's men viewing videos of 'females' who either look, or are, underage.

It's utterly disgusting.
