Am I unreasonable to feel sorry for Victoria and David beckham over the so called ‘rift’ with their son, which Victoria says is her worst nightmare. I know from experience how this situation can get out of hand and how heartbreaking it is when a beloved child breaks contact with their parents .

YANBU Brocklyn would do well to remember that women come and go in life but you only get one dad.

Imagine not turning up for a single one of his dads parties. His wife must really hate that family.

I think the same.no matter how wealthy and gilded life you lead,falling out with your child is sad. The Beckhams have a strong family ethos and are close.maybe they may reunite in the future, say if they have a baby

Don't have any time for Beckhams..I dislike how they made their children into a brand. They should have done their utmost to give them a normal childhood. Now the kids are ridiculed.

This is so true. All that money and opportunity they had and so little gained as a result.

Families fall out I'm.sure it will work our I think his wife is getting the" blame" but I read that one of the other sons is going out with Brooklyns ex girl friend and was present at the birthdays, that has to be awkward.

Unless you know them personally, what business is it of anyone? They have 'normal' family issues, but sadly, they feel that they have to wash their dirty linen in public. More sad is the fact that people rabidly hoover up this nonsense and think it's news.

Why is everyone talking about a rift when no one knows what the rift is about? Sounds all very manufactured for publicity to me.

Personally I think the Beckhams made a mistake raising their dcs in the limelight. However they are clearly loving and devoted parents. I feel sorry for them.

As someone no contact with my own mother I genuinely think people need to see both sides. If a child goes no contact with a parent there is usually a very very good reason for it and blaming the wife seems to be a cop out. That said I know nothing about the beckhams at all so no idea what the rift is all about. I do know that my going NC with my mother has been classed as a 'feud' between me and her when it is anything but, it is me putting in boundaries later in life against the abuse I have always been on the receiving end of but people never really see that parents can be at fault.

I think that's a load of shite fully manufactured by the tabloid press? She hasn't been quoted as saying she's 'devastated' or whatever. In fact she hasn't publicly spoken about it at all I don't think?

Her son Brooklyn is a talentless loser though. Everything he tries to do is an abject failure. I wouldn't be surprised if Victoria is a bit embarrassed about his lack of acumen and achievements after all that money they threw at him.

Either way I wouldn't say sympathy is the right word for this family. I guess I'm far from a fan so maybe that doesn't really help.

I think you've fallen for the hype. It's all meant to be over the wedding dress design, I think, thatvBrooklyn's wife chose and didn't go with Victoria's design. I might be wrong. I don't believe there is a rift.

Apparently Brooklyns wife has form for starting an argument right before family events therefore ensuring Brooklyn doesn’t attend. Obviously no one but them know the actual truth of what’s going on but it definitely gives prince Harry and Megan vibes! Weak spineless manchild with a domineering wife!

I was so surprised that David and Victoria who came from ordinary families, sold their children out to the media continually.
It all them comes back to bite you on the arse when you are an adult and the media won't leave you alone, in the case of the kids

Why would it surprise anyone that people who courted the media and had careers that promoted them wouldn't push forward their children? Tbf they did try and have a private life with them but they are a "celebrity " family.

Tbf the only Beckham child I know of is Brooklyn and his endeavours to be famous.

Stories involving this family are just lots of attention seeking always. Putting their kids in the public domain is a very poor parenting choice especially when they don’t have any individual talents, it just means there has to be drama to get attention.
