Am I unreasonable to feel sorry for Victoria and David beckham over the so called ‘rift’ with their son, which Victoria says is her worst nightmare. I know from experience how this situation can get out of hand and how heartbreaking it is when a beloved child breaks contact with their parents .

I find it fascinating that this is playing out so publicly which suggests one or both parties has been leaking to the press about it. I have to say the Netflix documentary made David look like he’d be a bloody nightmare to live with and I’m sure there will be some interesting dynamics at home. I also suspect that there is some sort of control being exerted re the brand. Online lots of the comments seem to jump to it being the wife’s fault but it’s not that hard to see why there might be some tension arising.

Curiously Tom Bowers paints Brooklyn as keeping other women away from DB, getting drinks at Glasto for him & hoping to steer him away from Mary Charteris. Maybe not as meets eye or storm in teacup, who knows. Estrangement horrid though. Kate M wearing VB today or yesterday, media saying in solidarity.

Why are the royals being pulled into the Beckham media reports? First Kate wears a VB suit and now apparently Brooklyn and Nicola have attended a dinner party held by Harry and Meghan. It just gets more bizarre

On the plus side, I bet VB is secretly delighted to be bracketed with the actual King and Queen in the media handwringing about the Montecito Runaway Son Summit.

Possibly but the leaked wedding texts don’t paint NP in a good light at all even when Wedding stress taken into account. BBP just doing as told in this context, how much money/power equivalence does he have in relationship. Did the Beckhams buy their house?

I think where there is obvious leaking of stories, I wouldn’t believe any of it.

If I were Brooklyn’s mother I would be even more upset about it all knowing the Markles have inserted themselves into the situation. There’ll be no chance of a reconciliation once they start dishing out their advice.

I mean in terms of celeb marriages its not am unreasonable assumption but normally on this board people would advise the opposite (and indeed the law of averages suggests most peoples partners will outlive their parents) - if a woman posted on here complaining about her dh's parents most comments rush to assure her that his new family should be his priority....

How does he come across as not nice? I’ve seen lots of things mocking his career choices, bur I’ve never seen anything to say he isn’t nice. In fact, there are lots of things saying all the children are very polite, kind, well mannered etc.

I did like the VB outfit on Kate though, it really suited her. The trousers were a bit too long but that seems to be a very in look at the moment. Meghan wore a suit recently with even longer trousers.

Nobody knows what's going on behind closed doors though. Just look at all of estranged families and grown ups in therapy. He may have his own demons, just because they're famous doesn't mean low cannot cannot happen; no smoke without fire. There is two sides to every story. I can only imagine everything being even more heightened in the public eye, and being in it from a young age.
