Trans protest- sharing for balance

There’s a thread sharing some really awful images from the protest, so I wanted to share some positive ones for the sake of some perspective/ balance.
A lot of people are really understandably incredibly angry and overwhelmed by the events of the last few days. But most people who support trans rights absolutely don’t condone fighting oppression and injustice with misogyny.

You seem to think that women should be forced to undress in front of, and receive intimate care/treatment from unknown males, even when they’ve expressly said they do not consent; and that not allowing males such access is fascism……. Can you explain why you think that?

There were a large proportion of ‘protesters’ wearing masks and I guess they don’t give a fig about ‘the cause’. They are just your common or garden anarchists. You posted signs that are ‘the other side of the story’ yet the sign you posted is transphobic. So is it lack of comprehension or are you purposely misunderstanding because you are so desperate to placate biological men?

I've long wondered what the death rattle of this violent, misogynistic, pseudo-intellectual, gaslighting, dishonest movement would look like. It hasn't surprised me.

I haven't needed to wonder what Tandora's threads are like. They've been going on like this since forever. I can't remember all of them. I switched off after the "but here's a DSD so men belong in women's spaces" one. That was about two years ago, I think, and it was five years out of date then.

I am sorry but you are doing huge harm to trans people with this sort of argument. You are doing harm.

I think you know this and that you are placing activism above the need to represent the rights of the trans community because you need something to be angry about and women are a easy target.

I genuinely don't understand why TW are so upset ? No rights have been removed from them have they ?
All that has happened is that the SC have clarified the law, regarding where biological sex can be seen as a reasonable reason for not giving access to those of the other biological sex.

I was in a lovely restaurant the other day, and what they have done is make their 2 toilets unisex, with a wash basin inside. Absolutely no danger posed there, and you would think it was a solution, BUT, both loos had had men in them before me, as both seats were up and there was piss all over the loo and floor. In both loos! So before I could wee, I had to get tissue and clean the seat, but even then there was piss on the base of my shoes, so it's utterly grim. So there's another reason why I don't want to share a loo with men.

And women need to be recognised for who we are and not viewed as a subset of our own sex. You can't have it both ways....if trans people want us to respect their views and who they are, then the least we deserve is the same courtesy. How many women have you seen holding up placards say "decapitate trans people", how many women have threated to rape or kill a trans person simply because they don't agree with their views? Yet we have that every sodding time.

Why isn’t the TRA mantra TW are TW because nobody reasonable can argue with that one? Deep down you know it’s because getting rid of women’s only spaces is the goal.

I obviously don't have the experience with different trans but I can assure you, some of them are creating serious problems in the LGBTQ movement.

Many lesbians are complaining feeling pressured to have a relationship with a trans woman, when they don't want it.

We aren't buying what you're selling OP. And we never will. You can start all the threads in the world and it won't change a thing.
